FAQs and Covid-19 Info

Question

What are the current Covid-19 guidelines in California?

Answer

Los Angeles is requiring proof of vaccination to enter bars, restaurants, venues, etc. and some outdoor events. We recommend bringing proof of vaccination regardless of where you plan to travel as well as high-quality masks as mask mandates are in place in most of California. Orange County and Santa Barbara county are NOT currently requiring proof of vaccination, but are still requiring mask wearing. Our venue in Santa Barbara is also not requiring proof of vaccination and are also not liable should any guests contract Covid-19. We ask every guest wear high-quality masks indoors at our venue and to please TEST YOURSELF for Covid-19 prior to the event. If you have a positive Covid-19 tests within a week of our wedding please do not attend. *If you are unvaccinated please show us or our wedding coordinator proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken 48 hours for PCR or 24 hours for Antigen tests before attending. Our goal is to have a safe and healthy event for everyone!

Question

How long is the flight from Boston to Los Angeles?

Answer

The flight from Boston to LA is about 6 hours and takes longer than the return flight as you'll be flying against the jet stream. Your return flight should take about 5 hours, but sometimes a bit faster!

Question

How far is Santa Barbara from Los Angeles?

Answer

It's about a two-hour drive but does depend on traffic. We will look into renting vans for all of us to make the drive from LA to Santa Barbara together.

Question

If I'm flying from the east coast, which airport should I choose to fly into?

Answer

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the best airport to fly into! We live less than 10 min way (depending on traffic) from LAX and can even pick you up when you land! Since LAX is such a large airport you'll get the best deal on flights by choosing to land here.

Question

Where should I stay in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara?

Answer

Depending on when you land, you may need to stay a night in Los Angeles before we head to Santa Barbara. We have a small apartment so we won't be able to accommodate everyone. We recommend booking a low-cost AirBnb in the area as hotel prices can be steep in the city. Be sure to stick close to the Playa del Rey neighborhood so you won't be too far from us! For Santa Barbara, we have a room block available with a discount link at Hotel Milo. This is one of the most affordable and beautiful hotels in the area and it's where I and Rob will be staying. It is dog-friendly for those traveling with your pups.
