Maid of Honor
I was lucky enough to meet Samara when we were just two cocoons awaiting our transformation into butterflies. Our relationship has continued to grow and strengthen over the last several years. Samara has become a cherished friend and a pillar of love and support in my life. I welcome Brent with open arms and am anxious to see what the future has in store for them.
Best Man
Brent and I met in an Oxford House where we lived together for a year and became close friends. Today he's my best friend. Over the years, he's become a brother to me. Words cannot express the amount of love we have for each other. I don't know where my life would be without him in it.
Man of Honor
I met Samara many moons ago. Throughout the years, she has shown me what unconditional love and true friendship really means. I truly am grateful the barefoot girl in the pink tutu has finally found the love she deserves. Welcome to the family Brent!
Groomsman
Brent was one of the first people to actually make me feel like I was worth recovery. He has always been there to push me to grow! It’s never a dull moment when we hang out.
Bridesmaid
Samara was the person who answered the phone for me when I was looking into getting in an Oxford house. I am forever grateful that I made that phone call and that this chapter of my life is being filled with memories of Samara and the huge impact she's had on my life and on my recovery.
Groomsman
When I first started seeing Brent around the rooms, I wasn't really a fan of his big personality. It wasn't until I moved into a brand new house, which he had just helped open, that I realized how much alike him and I were. This is when "our" man crush truly began to evolve. I say, "our" because I like to believe it was mutual...LOL...In the short amount of time we lived together, Brent definitely had an unmeasurable impact on my recovery and my life.
Bridesmaid
I met Samara many lifetimes ago and we ran into eachother again in this one! She's someone who truly feels like home to me, her hugs are the best. I'm grateful to KNOW her, grateful to get to LOVE her, and grateful to SEE her for the powerhouse she is. I love that she's found love!
Groomsman
I met Brent when my dad was his sponsor. Since my dad liked him, I immediately liked him too. As long as I have known Brent, he has always been a leader and a guy you can lean on in recovery and friendship. I have always thought of him as a brother in recovery, a guy I can always stand shoulder to shoulder with.
Bridesmaid
Being on this journey with Samara has been an honor and a blessing. When I think of our relationship, I feel an overwhelming sense of love and gratitude. She has taught me so much about what it truly means to be a woman in recovery.
Groomsman
Brent and I met at Friendsgiving in 2018. We challenged each other to an epic Ping Pong series and the rest is history. Today we share an amazing Kansas City Bond. I couldn't be any happier that he is marrying my friend Samara!
Bridesmaid
From the first memories I have of our friendship to watching you marry the man of your dreams. I will always cherish your beautiful soul. I am so honored to have the privilege of being a part of your inspiring journey.
Groomsman
I met Samara and Brent through Oxford House and it has been such a blessing in my life. Samara is a natural born leader, has a heart of gold, and challenges her friends to be the best version of themselves. Brent exemplifies what it is to be a good man; a true gentlemen, strong in his convictions, role model to many, and also funny as hell. These two are the perfect match and I'm honored to be part of their special day.
Officiant
Samurai, I met you and I saw you and your passion for the truth and safety of people in recovery. You are a human being I love and feel honored to know. You truly are a light warrior and someone who I admire, respect, and cherish. That is why I call you Samurai.
