Yes. We would never invite our loved ones to a place we don’t feel comfortable visiting ourselves. As with any trip, we recommend taking normal travel precautions. We do suggest avoiding Ciudad Juárez, simply because, as a border city, it tends to have more complex dynamics. If possible, it’s best to explore other parts of the state during your stay.
In the "things to do" section, we have some recommendations to do while you are in Chihuahua. If you want to do stuff out of that state, Mexico City, Cancun, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Tequila, San Miguel de Allende are great options! However, there are other beautiful places like Oaxaca, Veracruz, Yucatan, etc that you can explore. They are not as popular as the first ones but they offer beautiful sense of what Mexico is. Also, we recommend to go to a "Pueblo Magico" (Magic Town). As we explained in the things to do section, those places are chosen by the Mexican government and named magic because they keep original traditions from native mexicans! Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you might have, we are happy to share the adventures we have had in Mexico.
Due to venue limitations, we’re only able to accommodate guests listed on the RSVP. If your children are not included and you have any questions or special circumstances, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We truly appreciate your understanding and support.
Please refer to your RSVP on this website to see if you have a +1.
Yes. There is a shuttle which will depart from the hotel we recommend (Quality Inn - in front of the Cathedral, where our wedding ceremony will take place) at 4:30 pm and it will return people to the same hotel when the party is over. Please let us know through the RSVP questions if you will need to take this shuttle bus so we can make sure to accommodate all of our guests.
You don´t have to. We will provide transportation for our wedding events. There is Uber in Chihuahua and it is safe to use. However, we recommend not to use it when it is dark (not because it is unsafe, it is just as a precaution). For transportation from and to the airport, an Uber can take you to the airport but it cannot pick you up. To go to the hotel you can take a taxi, or coordinate with a pick up service agency. There are some we have in mind for you. Please contact us if you need this information. If you want to travel around Chihuahua or go to some of the places we have in our "things to do" section, then a rental car would be ideal. Again, if this is something that interests you, please contact us.
The Cathedral is located in the downtown of Chihuahua. Street parking is very limited but there are several parking garages you can park for a fee around the church. At the wedding venue, there is parking available and free for our guests who will be driving.
Most of the places in Chihuahua take credit cards as a method of payment. However, there are several places, especially in the downtown, where they only take cash as a payment method. We recommend to have some cash in your wallet just in case you need it. U.S. dollars can be exchanged at the airport or at local currency exchange offices (often called “casas de cambio”). There are several in the city. Be sure to bring U.S. dollars in cash, as you’ll need them to exchange currency.
