Answer

Because Samantha’s family lives in the Albany area and there is a two hour travel time between Montgomery and Chenango county with few places to stay near their venue, Sam and Thad have decided to stretch out their wedding festivities to include both a reception in Sherburne, NY as well as a reception in Amsterdam, NY. This way, Sam and Thad can enjoy time with all of their family and friends while also getting to celebrate at the two places they cherish the most, their family homes. You have been sent, or will be sent, an invitation indicating which reception we would like for you to attend. We can’t wait to see you there!

Answer

Thaddeus and Samantha would like a very private, intimate wedding to celebrate their love and therefore will only be hosting immediate family for the actual ceremony on July 26th, 2025. If you are invited to take part in our union you will receive an invitation in the mail for the ceremony as well as the reception to follow in Sherburne, NY. But no worries- Thaddeus and Samantha will want to celebrate with you! They will be hosting two receptions following the ceremony in order to enjoy being newlyweds with all of their family and friends.

What should I wear?What should I wear?

Answer

If you are invited to the wedding ceremony we ask that you wear light summery colors and clothing that aligns with the formal nature of our wedding while still being appropriate for the weather (we do not want anyone to be uncomfortable!). Fun, flowy, light dresses are recommended for women (short or long) and light dress pants with polos or a shirt and tie are recommended for the men. If you are part of the group who will be celebrating with us at the reception please make sure you dress comfortably for the weather as the event in both areas will be taking place outdoors in the hopefully, sunny weather.

Answer

Absolutely! We will be having a catered, buffet style reception at both locations with dessert to follow. Please reach out to Samantha or Thaddeus if you have any food allergen concerns.
