Thaddeus and Samantha first met back in 2019 at their shared college, SUNY Oneonta, where Sam and Thad were both on the Track and Field team. Thad initially met Sam in Milne Library, awestruck over her very large copy of combined works from one of her favorite authors, Jane Austen. Their first unofficial date consisted of Thad teaching Sam how to cook, something she still avoids to this day. Sam and Thad stayed together throughout college, juggling academics, athletics and traveling to see one another throughout the Covid pandemic. With the help of their parents, often driving 2 hours one way to see one another, they made it through the pandemic and college. After graduating in 2023, Sam decided to relocate to Sherburne, getting her first teaching job at the local school district while Thad became the branch manager at the NBT Bank In New Berlin. They eventually bought their first home in November 2023 in Norwich, NY where they currently reside with their three family members. Ellie, their Golden Retriever and their two cats, Bean & Juice. After dating for 4 years, Thad proposed to Sam on October 18th, 2024 at the top of Castle Rock Summit in Blue Mountain Lake.
