What is the COVID-19 plan?

Answer

While mask mandates have been lifted, we want to ensure that all guests feel comfortable. Paper masks and sanitizer will be provided, but not enforced. The venue has plenty of space for social distancing including an outdoor area. We would like to leave the choice to wear masks with you and we respectfully ask that all guests give compassion to others regardless of opinions. We'd like our wedding to be a night of celebrating love, human connection, inclusivity, and unity.

Is the ceremony in a different place than the reception?

Answer

Good news- it's all in one. Both ceremony and reception will take place starting at 5:30 pm at The Chivaree on Park in Ixonia, WI. Cocktail hour begins at 6:00 pm and dinner will be served at 7:00 pm. Come hungry, we'll be feasting!

What kind of entertainment can we expect?

Answer

We're huge fans of live music and bad dance moves- so we booked a band! After a year of not being able to go to concerts, we decided to host one! The band plays covers from the '50s to today, so there's a little something for everyone. Check them out: http://www.coldsodaclub.com/ We will also have outdoor activities, interactive stations, and of course- a stocked bar. We encourage everyone to converse and get to know each other. After all, we'll all be family after the ceremony! However, while we understand that current affairs are an engaging topic, we ask that conversations be kept light and lovely in order to spread love and compassion. Consider these topics instead: "Did you see the grooms shoes? He's so stylish. And handsome." "I noticed the grandmother-of-the-bride, mother-of-the-bride, and mother-of-the-groom are all in blue. I heard they are the bride's something aged, something blue, something new." "How 'bout them Packers, eh?" "Who here is single? I'm ready to polka."

What should I wear?

Answer

We'll be getting all dolled up for our glamourous old-Hollywood-themed wedding. Join us! We'd love to see your best suits, gowns, dresses, cocktail attire, and slacks. The indoor ballroom and bar will be air-conditioned. The outdoor area will be a summer night in Wisconsin so...who knows?! The most important thing is dancing shoes. And maybe a smile as this event will be heavily photographed.

Why does my invite list Wisconsin as the address for the bride and groom? Don't they live in Georgia now?

Answer

Yes! And also, no. We're excited to tell you that we're moving from Atlanta, Georgia to Charleston, South Carolina on June 21st! At the time of sending invites we didn't have our new address to give you, nor would it be helpful to you to have the address of the house we're moving out of. So, we've given the address of Samantha's parents in Wisconsin- if you'd like to send a card or gift (though not necessary), they'll be able to pick it up after the wedding and before heading south again. Sorry for the confusion- but there's so much world to see!
