Getting to Amelia Island

The closest major airport to Amelia Island is the Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), located approximately 30 miles southwest of the island. JAX is supported by all major airlines with nonstop services to several U.S. cities. Upon landing, you have several transportation options to reach Amelia Island. Rental car services are readily available at the airport, along with private car services, uber and taxis (more details on this below).
