Unfortunately, Snowbasin does not have lodging onsite. Because of this reason and the wide variety of personal preferences of our guests, we do not have specific blocks. We have listed several options in Huntsville, which are closer to the venue but in a more mountainous setting. We've also listed several hotels in downtown Ogden for those interested in having more amenities close by.
Huntsville is a quaint mountain town, home to Pineview Reservoir, which is a beautiful lake with quite a few beaches. You can swim, boat, hike, and mountain bike all nearby. However, Huntsville does not have amenities and is more remote. Downtown Ogden is a cute mountain town about 18 minutes from Pineview Reservoir and 25 minutes from Snowbasin Resort. 25th Street is Ogden's Main Street, which is a walkable area with bars and restaurants.
We will be staying with our local SLC friends at the Edgewater Apartments on Friday and Saturday night.
Sean and I will be staying at Edgewater, a great little lakeside condo community with a pool, just 10 min from the venue. There are still several 1-4 bedroom condos available at Edgewater.
Yes, you will need a car to get around.
We will be hosting a Welcome Event Friday night from 7 - 9PM at Huntsville Square. On Sunday, for close friends and family traveling from out of town, we'll have an "open house" at our home in Salt Lake City from around 12:30 - whenever. This is not a formal event, just a casual gathering for those interested in stopping by to visit more.
We're working this out and we will keep you updated.
If you're eating out, downtown Ogden is the place for that. Otherwise, if you want to just be stationed in the mountains at your condo, consider doing a quick shop at a grocery store before heading to Huntsville. It's not far from amenities, but it is a short drive so you may be happier being stocked up before settling in.
Sure thing, please just contact us directly and we can help with more specific itinerary recommendations than what is listed in our "things to do" page. Our "things to do" is for guests just staying for the weekend that are looking for activities in the immediate vicinity.
For those extending your trip before or beyond the wedding, you may want to consider spending some time in Salt Lake City! Big Cottonwood Canyon and Little Cottonwood Canyon are absolutely beautiful areas, as is Millcreek Canyon. There are also lots a great restaurants in SLC and Park City is just a short jaunt away. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Liquor stores, which sell (warm) high-point beers (anything over 5%), wine, and liquor, are closed on Sundays. You can buy (cold) low-point (anything 5% and under) beers in grocery stores whenever, but no wine or liquor.
If your Save the Date and/or invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
If your Save the Date and/or invitation is labeled "The __ Family", your kiddo(s) are invited! We know many of you are traveling and want to make this as easy as possible. If you're unsure, please don't hesitate to reach out to one of us and ask.
We've listed cocktail as the attire, which includes summer suits, cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, etc.
Please call or text Sean (484-225-5697) or myself (607-220-9060) directly.
