We have a hotel block at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront. The hotel is 0.5 miles from The Poynter Institute, where we're holding the reception. If you're looking for convenience and access to downtown St. Pete, we encourage you to stay here and take advantage of the discounted rate. Flight
TPA is the largest airport in the area and will have the most flight options. This is likely the best choice unless you are lucky enough to find a flight into the St. Petersburg / Clearwater Airport (PIE). 25-30 min to downtown St. Pete without traffic, but expect traffic during rush hour.
Flight
This is a much smaller airport but very convenient if your local airport has reasonable flights in. 15-20 min to downtown St. Pete
Travel Note
If you do not plan to journey outside of Downtown St. Pete, renting a car is probably not necessary. Uber and Lyft are abundant in the area. If you are renting a car, there is plenty of free parking at St. Paul's Catholic Church and the Poynter Institute; however, the Hilton does charge for parking. Guests who use our discount code will receive a discounted parking rate as well.
