Maid of Honor
Christa and Sam met in August 2005 at FAU when they were 18 years old. She was Sam's first roommate freshman year in the dorms. They bonded while unpacking their things when both of them had the same crunchy peanut butter protein bars. Whether near or far, Christa has always been more of a sister than a friend. They have been through the trenches together, and will be best friends until the end.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and Sam met freshman year of high school. They became friends when a girl tampered with Sam's drink (As catty high school girls tend to do), and Rachel told Sam to not drink it. They attended numerous emo concerts, had beach days, and went skateboarding on first street throughout high school. They have remained close friends since 2002 and still exchange fashion preferences via Facetime.
Bridesmaid
Veronica and Sam also met at FAU in 2005. They lived in the same dorm building and bonded over a mutual love of Juicy Couture tracksuits (Remember those?). They spent many nights laughing at Sex and the City in the dorms and going on college road trips. Since then, Sam was a bridesmaid in Veronica's wedding in 2013 and the DeFeo's just welcomed baby Lyla into their family last year.
Bridesmaid
Jen and Sam met through a mutual friend in Tampa. They were teachers together and became extremely close during their teaching experiences. They shared crazy Gasparilla experiences, New Orleans vacations, and numerous bike rides along the Tampa Bay. Sam was also a bridesmaid in Jen's wedding in 2017 and the Partin's are expecting a baby girl in March. Sam is super excited to be another aunt to Baby Elle in the spring!
Bridesmaid
Gabrielle (with a long a sound) and Sam taught abroad in Seoul, South Korea in 2011. Gabrielle and Sam bonded over a pair of large Korean slippers that looked like they were on the wrong feet, no matter what foot they were on (Ridiculous but true)! Since Korea, Sam was also a bridesmaid in Gabrielle's wedding in 2015 and the Bonaparte's just welcomed baby Ivan Jr. in the fall. There are numerous Korean crew, also known as the High 5, reunions that allow the women to keep their friendships strong since 2011.
Bridesmaid
Swhite is also a part of the High 5 who taught abroad in Korea. Swhite was a bit hesitant allowing Sam in the Korean teaching crew because Sam was the "new girl". However, after Sam secretly brought "soju" or Korean vodka in the pocket of her dress in a bar, Swhite couldn't resist any longer. Swhite is basically a super hero because she saved Sam from hitting her head while having a seizure on the side of a busy Korean road. Swhite managed to get Sam in an ambulance, and to the hospital in a foreign country, with speaking a fraction of the language. If that doesn't warrant a super hero title, I don't know what does! :)
Bridesmaid
Amy is also a member of the High 5 who taught abroad in Korea. Amy introduced Sam the Korean ways of life, and the most amazing Indian Food, which is still her favorite cuisine to this day. Amy just recently got engaged! WOO! We cannot wait to celebrate another High 5 wedding!
Bridesmaid
Jillian is also a member of the High 5 Korean teaching crew. Jilly and Sam bonded over brews and Sam saying "I don't know a lot about many things, but I know a little about some things." Poetic isn't it? They may or may not have been under the influence at the time. Jillian made it her mission to hug Sam every single day while abroad in Korea. (See photo below)
