We met using the Bumble app in April, 2016. Hello 21st century dating! After being impressed with Max's ability to write complete sentences/paragraphs instead of text jargon such as "lols", we agreed to go on a date. Our date consisted of dinner in historic 5 Points, in downtown Jacksonville. While waiting for dinner, we decided to go next door and grab a drink at the wine bar next door. We were asking the average dating questions such as what our professional lives consisted of, where we've lived in the past, and previous relationship history. Things seemed to be going extremely well until, the bartender began to aggressively hit on Max. Being the nervous mess I was on an actual "First Date", my rosé began to go down more rapidly. All of a sudden I wasn't nervous, due to the wonders of this magic alcoholic potion. By the time dinner rolled around, I was 2 glasses deep and feelings more confident than ever. Dinner was filled with effortless conversation, laughs, and not one awkward moment. We continued to another bar and that's where we spotted the bartender from the previous place. (Dun dun duunnn) As she was eyeing Max like a hawk, he put his arm around my waist, kissed my cheek and made it known who he was with as we were walking in. At that moment, I was sold. Max ended up meeting my family a week later. His knowledge of grafting garden vegetables, KU basketball, and of course Jaguar football, was extremely impressive. Additionally, he was funny and sweet with the Rock and even kept both of my nieces entertained. Wilson approved! It was way too easy! And the rest, as "they" say, is history.
