The couple met on Hinge in May of 2022. Kyle had asked Sam to go to a bar to watch the playoff Sixers game for their first date, but Sam had court-side tickets. When she asked him to go in person instead, he was convinced she was a catfish but agreed to go anyway because he refused to miss out on a court-side Sixers playoff game..regardless of who it was with. Kyle was relieved to see she wasn't a catfish when they met in a public parking lot (his idea, safety first the it comes to a potential catfish) before driving down to the game together. The Sixers lost, but they had a blast.
