Things To Do

We thank each of our guests for the long journey they are undertaking to be part of our celebration. We would be amiss not to recommend some of our favorite places to visit that make the Outer Banks so special to us! Recommendations are organized from North to South.

Duck Donuts

First enjoyed by Sam and her dad around 2008 on a camping trip, one simply must have Duck Donuts while visiting Duck.

Josh's favorite restaurant. If you are invited to the wedding, he has invited you out for crab.

Wright Brothers National Memorial

A piece of history and a great spot for a morning walk.

Jockey's Ridge State Park

Jockey's Ridge State Park

Oregon Inlet Fishing Center LLC

8770 Oregon Inlet Road, Nags Head, NC 27959

Worth looking into for fishing charters and dolphin watching tours during your stay. Across the street is Oregon Inlet Campground, where Sam spent her summers by the ocean. Pictured is her family's campsite from 2008.

Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge

14500 North Carolina Highway 12, Rodanthe, NC 27968

Beautiful beaches and a small, informative visitor center. Just off the coast one can spot the top of a shipwreck.

The lovely beaches which hosted our engagement.

Frisco

Frisco

Frisco, NC

One of our favorite places to stay in the Outer Banks.

Kat's Deli

Perfect place to stop for lunch while traveling to and from the southern end of the OBX.

Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum

59200 Museum Drive, Hatteras, NC 27943

An interesting museum discussing the dangerous coast of the Outer Banks. We recommend stopping by on the way to Ocracoke Island.

Ocracoke Island

A far drive, but the free ferry ride to the island is worth the trip alone.
