Question

How are we getting up to the Black Mountain Lodge?

Answer

The Black Mountain Lodge is located halfway up the ski mountain at A-Basin. In order to get there, we'll be taking a chairlift from the base of the mountain! The lift will be running at 60% of its normal speed. If requested, the lift operators will slow down or stop the lift while you get on and off. Please let us know if you still don’t feel comfortable riding the chairlift and we’ll make arrangements for a van to take you up to the Black Mountain Lodge. If you'd like to get a better idea of the ride, please take a look at this short video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4a0qzVMaToo.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire. Please keep in mind, the chairlift ride may be a little cold, especially at the end of the night. Be prepared for the temperatures to drop into the 50's. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside and the reception will be in the lodge.

Question

Will the high altitude affect me?

Answer

Keystone’s base elevation is 9,280 ft and we will be tying the knot at 11,500 ft above sea level! To avoid altitude sickness, drink plenty of water before and during your trip to help your body adjust to the high altitude.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be your night off! Please let us know if you'd like assistance finding childcare in the Keystone area. We are happy to help.
