When should I RSVP

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP as soon as you can so we can continue our planning process accordingly. However, the deadline is the 28th of July. If we have not received your RSVP by the deadline we will have to assume you won't be attending. Please refer to our RSVP page to respond. Simply type in your name and your own RSVP page will show up.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

If you are taking the shuttle, it will depart at 3:00 PM and arrive at the ceremony at 3:30PM. If you are not taking the shuttle, please arrive for 3:30 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00PM.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, but it is limited at the venue location. Extra parking can be found at the cottage next door, The Lily Pad. To help make things easier, we kindly encourage guests to take the shuttle.

Where do I stay ?

Answer

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Sandman Hotel in Dartmouth for our guests. To receive the group rate, please book before July 28th using the code SOLSUR26. Transportation will be provided on Saturday—guests staying at the hotel will be picked up at 2:30 pm and transported to and from the wedding venue at 11:00pm. There are also plenty of Airbnb options in the area. The venue is approximately 28 minutes from downtown Halifax

We’re so excited to celebrate this special day with our closest family and friends. To keep things intimate, your RSVP will reflect the specific guests included in your group—please kindly respond for those listed

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Little ones are welcome! We just ask for a bit of quiet during the ceremony so everyone can enjoy the moment

Can I take photos?

Answer

In order for our guests to be fully present with us during one of the most important moments in our lives, we are having an unplugged ceremony. Our professional photograph will capture every special moment and we will of course, share our photos with you afterwards. After the ceremony, we would love for you to capture our special day and encourage you to snap away!

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’d love to see our guests in wedding day glam! Think semi-formal/ cocktail attire. Please wear something that makes you feel your best—ladies in dresses or skirts, and gentlemen in sport coats or button ups.

Should I eat before?

Answer

Definitely not! We’ll be serving food all night long. Instead of a formal plated meal, there will be lots of delicious catered finger foods and appetizers to enjoy throughout the evening.

Yes! Beer, signature drinks and non alcoholic beverages will be provided- get ready to party!

No, your presence is truly the greatest gift to us. However, if you do wish to give something, we would be so grateful for a contribution toward our honeymoon
