We're getting married!

Our story begins in the most unexpected of places: a gym called F45 in Jacob's hometown of Rancho Santa Margarita. The date was October 2020. No, it wasn't love at first squat. In fact, Jacob didn't even notice Sam working out. Sam and Jacob were both friends with the trainers, Jessica and Val, so Sam asked Jessica "Who is that cute guy with the knee brace? Is he single?" Jessica then asked Jacob if he was single, not for her, and to stay after class to talk. They talked after class but not about any girls or love interests. After that, Jacob left for a job in the Sequoias, and a few months passed. Fate intervened. Jacob returned to F45, Sam decided to shoot her shot for the second time, but this time with the other trainer Val. Val played matchmaker, mentioning that Sam had gone all out - wearing make up during the workout, which he had never seen her do before. Val passed along Sam's number to Jacob, and before they knew it, they were getting together for drinks at the Blind Pig Kitchen and Bar. The date went so well they ended up sitting in Jacob's car and talking for hours after the restaurant had closed. From that night forward, it was clear that something special was in the works. Fast forward after multiple dates, lake house trips, vacations, Ironman Races, snowboard trips, houseboat trips, and many more adventures. Jacob and Sam started their life together with buying their first home in Rancho Mission Viejo in August 2023. We are so excited to take the next step in our lives together and celebrate with you!
