We're getting married!

We met in a friend's garage, playing cornhole on opposing teams. At the time, we were both seeing different people, and we thought nothing of how much fun we were having crap-talking the other's cornhole abilities. We were both single again a couple months later, and Jacob kept asking me to go out on his boat. I kept saying no since I didn't know him or the others invited that well. Eventually, I said yes, and I knew I was interested in this weird guy who wore a captain's hat on a tiny boat. Flash forward another month, and I found a 3x5 ft poster of Dwayne the Rock Johnson that I wanted to take home, but it wouldn't fit in my little Altima. I remembered Jacob had a truck, and I begged him to help me in exchange for Crumbl Cookies. He was confused, but he agreed. We met up that Friday, picked up the poster, and I bought us some cookies. We were having so much fun that we didn't want the night to end, so we went to Walmart to finish buying for his Halloween costume. Then, we went to Home Depot so I could criticize their kitchen designs. We finally went back to our own places near midnight, and I quickly accepted another boating invite for the next day. It was just the two of us, and I remember being so annoyed that he couldn't get up the courage to kiss me. We saw each other again that night at a Halloween party, and I taunted him until he FINALLY kissed me. After that, the rest was history.

This love story starts in April or May 2022. I first met Samantha at a friend’s bonfire. We were next to each other playing cornhole, and she was the only one who could keep up with my trash talk. From there we became friends. A few months go by and we stayed in contact, usually me making fun of her for falling into her college “Crumbl Cookie Addiction.” Come fall, we are both single at the same time, and Samantha calls me out of the blue one day asking to borrow my truck to pick up a Dwayne Johnson poster, in payment she was going to buy me Crumbl. In my mind, getting to haul a Dwayne Johnson poster was a no questions asked deal. Samantha and I picked up the poster to which my surprise this poster was huge as it’s one of the posters that you see hanging up at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Samantha then follows through with her bargain and takes me Crumble Cookie to which I learn they are the sugariest cookies known to mankind. A unknown amount of weeks later Samantha finally feels comfortable coming on my “sexy boat” (in her own words.) A day comes when she joins me on my boat, and my friend Brady was supposed to join us, but due to sleeping past his alarm he missed the departure time. In which Samantha thought this was a master plan of mine, which is not true. So Samantha and I cruise down the river getting to know each other more and have a great time. To which I learn I really like this girl. During this time Samantha claims she was setting me up to kiss her, which I beg a differ. Eventually Brady calls us, and we pick him up and we go on with our day. Then the end of the boating day came and I knew I wanted to spend more time with Samantha, so I invited her to the Halloween party I was attending that evening. To which she came and we had a great time. Towards the end of the night, me and her were alone by the fire and she finally said to me “are you going to kiss me or not?” To which no worded reply was needed to answer that question. From there a new chapter in our lives began.
