If you're looking for a unique meal, Lehrhaus is a Jewish tavern/bar and house of learning with an excellent menu. It's kosher, vegetarian-friendly, and a fan favorite: we went there after we got engaged! Note that it can get busy, so make a reservation (especially if you're a group over 4).
The hotel is nearby to Central Square, a hub of places to go eat, shop, and walk around. You're also nearby a T stop (Boston's subway), which you can take downtown or to Harvard Square just one stop away.
This is where we got engaged! Great for history buffs or anyone looking to go on a nice walk. It's beautiful in the summer!
Do you love cool train rides? We do! Take a ride on this unique piece of history, the Ashmont-Mattapan high-speed trolley. These PCC trolleys were used widely on the MBTA from the late 1930s until the 1970s. The Mattapan line is a short trip with some beautiful views on a classic train. Get off at the Milton stop to see some classic New England town scenery.
If you're coming in for the weekend and looking for a classic New England activity, Cider Hill is our favorite berry picking farm! Strawberries and raspberries are in season in June-- just note that you will need to rent a car because it is north of Boston.
