Sam was once told by someone very important to her that there are soulmates in this life that are not the conventional meaning of the word. Shannon is that for Sam. Shannon has a knack of making everything in her life beautiful, including her friendships by devoting time, space, and love to them. It was a no-brainer when Sam asked Shannon to be her Matron of Honor while on a trip to Las Vegas in a hotel room at The Flamingo (Shannon's favorite animal). It was meant to be.
Luke Peterson
Best Man
Curt and Luke have been friends their entire lives. Living across the street from one another they naturally became the best of friends. Some of Curt's best memories growing up involve Luke, Middleswarth chips, pingpong, hours of video games at camp, and laughing nights away. For the past few years Luke has fully committed himself to Ironman races, achieving impressive feats of endurance!
Rachel Small
Maid of Honor
Who said you cannot have a Matron and Maid of Honor? Rules are meant to be broken because Rachel was always destined to be my Maid of Honor. Rachel is Sam's cousin, but in reality she's always been a little sister to her. They've been through all the ups and downs together that sisters have, but in the end have come out stronger in their sisterly love than ever. Sam is so excited to have her standing by her side on her wedding day. Rachel is the sweetest and has a wanderlust equal to, if not greater, than Sam's. Who thought that could be possible?
Craig Bell
Groomsman
Craig is Curt's younger brother, the middle of the three boys. Craig is wonderful at finding ways to make any situation fun and light-hearted! Growing up they enjoyed playing hours upon hours of basketball in the driveway together, as well as experimenting with football, soccer and track and field. Today Craig enjoys playing endless rounds of golf and we can't think of anyone more fun to hit the course with! Also, you will definitely find Craig near the morning coffee obsessions spearheaded by Michael.
Stephanie Hayman
Bridesmaid
Stephanie is Sam's amazing sister. They've been through all of life's early adventures together and continue to support each other through growing families on opposite sides of the country. Steph is a compassionate nurse who knows the right thing to say in any situation. That's a handy skill to have in a bridesmaid leading up to the wedding and on the day of.
Alex Small
Groomsman
Alex is the other half of Sam's dynamic brother duo. Curt and Alex spend hours discussing business, sports, and other topics that keep them excited. They enjoy having a beverage, or 5, while eating epic food. Family is important to our wedding, as we are joining two families together, and Alex always finds ways to support Curt and Sam.
Amanda Harris
Bridesmaid
Amanda is Sam's soon-to-be (not soon enough) sister-in-law. Sam has traveled to Iceland with Amanda and looks forward to traveling with her in the future. There is never a shortage of laughs when they're together. Amanda is remarkable and livens up any situation. She is a champagne queen so being in Sam's wedding party was a given.
Michael Small
Groomsman
Michael is one half of Sam's dynamic brother duo. Curt and Michael have a bromance that not even she understands. Michael and his fiancé are the reigning champions of frequency of visiting Sam and Curt in Utah and each visit adds to the amazing memories we have created during each trip. You can be sure that the morning of the wedding Michael and Curt will be brewing up some epic espresso and talking about details no one will understand. Shelby Cupp
Bridesmaid
Shelby is one of Sam's dearest friends. They met freshman year at Duquesne University and became roommates the rest of their undergraduate studies. Shelby is undoubtedly one of the kindest people Sam knows. She has a special gift at bringing people together and making them feel welcome and special, something that Sam and Curt hope everyone at our wedding feels. So obviously being one of Sam's closest friends, she had to be a bridesmaid.
Jason Bell
Groomsman
Jason is Curt's youngest brother, and a freshly graduated engineer. Growing up and still to this day Curt and Jason enjoy playing many different sports and/or games together. The competition is fierce, but they wouldn't have it any other way. Curt still needs to beat Jason at tennis one day! They also both love the outdoors and are looking forward to many more wilderness adventures in the future.
Bryann Lentz
Bridesmaid
Bry is one of Sam's oldest friends. They didn't eat paste together, but they probably scuffed up their knees every summer since preschool at the Conyngham park. Bry is full of stoke for life and makes everyone excited when she's around them. Her thirst for adventure and drive to enjoy every moment of life is contagious, which you will get to see first hand at our wedding.
Will Gangewere
Groomsman
Growing up Will was the third member of the trio completed by Curt and Luke. He also knows the arts of Middleswarth chips, pingpong, and hours of video games at camp very well. Curt and Will both lived in Pittsburgh after college for a number of years. During that time they found a mutual love of folk/acoustic music, exploring new foods and beverages, and enjoying late nights with good friends!
