Our favorite brewery, which hosts amazing food trucks. If you have a sweet tooth, check out Ruby Snap Fresh Cookies around the corner for a snack while you enjoy a cold one.
Hopkins Brewing Company
One of our favorite SLC friends brews awesome beer for this brewery. Their food is bomb. A win/win!
Laziz Kitchen
In the mood to try something different? Laziz is an authentic Lebanese style restaurant that we frequent regularly. Mediterranean comfort foods at its finest and a beloved restaurant to many locals.
BOLTCUTTER
Amazing vegan tex/mex food. While you're at it, stop by Monkeywrench (next door) for some ice cream, brownies, cookies, etc.
Eva's Bakery
The best Breakfast in town can be found at this quaint French style restaurant.
The Rest
You'll need a reservation far in advance for this one friends! A legit speakeasy-style, hidden (literally) gem in downtown SLC and one of Curt and Sam's favorite SLC restaurants. You won't find many vegan options here, but we highly recommend. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are out of this world.
Big Cottonwood Canyon
Some of our favorite hikes: Lake Blanche Lake Mary Donut Falls Brighton Lakes Note: -Make sure you check the weather. Due to the time of year, ski resorts may still be open or the hike may require special gear (snowshoes, micro spikes, etc.). Happy to help anyone determine what gear they need.
Little Cottonwood Canyon
Hike Recommendations: Sunset Peak Bell's Canyon Lisa Falls Little Cottonwood Creek Trail White Pine Lake Red Pine Lake Crecet Lake Note: If you see a moose, awesome! Do not approach or get too close. Leave it alone and keep walking. They are dangerous and we want you to be safe for our wedding. It's selfish, really.
Park City
Yes, the Park City, as in Sundance film festival. While in Park City, check out High West Distillery if you're a whiskey fan, Wasatch Brewery if you prefer beer, No Name Saloon for some outdoor, rooftop eats, or Main St. if shopping is your vice. Park City is the perfect place to wander around on a lazy afternoon.
Utah National Parks
Here in Utah, we have breathtaking National Parks within 4-5 hours of your hotel. Here's a list of some of our favorites, but feel free to ask our opinion on visiting any of them. Arches Canyonlands Bryce Canyon Zion Capitol Reef Bears Ears Dinosaur National Monument Note: You will also be within 5 hours from Yellowstone and Grand Teton/Jackson Hole. Due to the time of year, make sure you consult weather forecasts before planning. There still might be a lot of snow, which can limit hiking, climbing, etc.
