Accommodation at Castello di Petrata

We are so excited to welcome you for a truly special stay as we celebrate our wedding together. We have reserved the entire property, giving us access to everything Castello Di Petrata has to offer. Castello di Petrata will be the setting for all of our wedding celebrations and will host a portion of our guest accommodations. Because the property has a limited number of rooms, we unfortunately are not able to accommodate all guests on-site. Over the coming months, we will reach out with more details and nearby options for those off-site. The castle operates as a fully functioning luxury hotel, complete with a restaurant, bar, room service, and spa. Throughout your stay, you’re invited to enjoy everything the property has to offer—lounge by the pool, play tennis on the courts, or simply soak in the beautiful surroundings. Check-in begins at 3:00pm on Monday, June 7th, 2027, with check-out at 10:30am on Wednesday, June 9th, 2027. Guests are welcome to arrive anytime after 10:00am on Monday, June 7th to enjoy the property prior to check-in, and may continue to enjoy the premises until 3:00pm on departure day. We are grateful to be subsidizing the cost of those staying with us at the castle. Everyone staying on-site will be charged a fixed rate of $250 per person for the full 3-day, 2-night stay that includes two breakfasts, a lunch, and two dinners. We cannot wait to spend this time together in such a beautiful setting and are so thankful you’ll be part of our celebration.

How We Met

We met on the roof of our apartment building at sunset—thanks to our building manager who suggested Sam go say hi. Cole was signing his lease, and Sam went upstairs for the view and the introduction. What was meant to be a quick hello turned into hours of conversation and an easy friendship. We started spending most of our time together, and somewhere along the way, friendship turned into more. Sam lived downstairs—until she moved upstairs with Cole.

Why Italy?

We both grew up with a love for Italian food, which eventually turned into a love for Italy itself. From the pasta and the scenery to the culture and pace of life, it’s one of our favorite places to visit. Getting engaged in Sardinia made the country even more meaningful and forever part of our love story. With our families living on opposite coasts and a shared love for travel, we wanted our wedding to be more than a single day. Hosting an intimate three-day celebration allows us to slow down, spend quality time together, and create a truly special experience with the people we love most. Italy felt like the perfect place to do just that. We look forward to celebrating in Italy with you, marking a (bittersweet) farewell to 'D’Aquila' in its home country.
