Wedding Party

Bailey Korn

Maid of Honor

How we know each other: I have had the privilege of growing up with Sam as my sister. Me and Sam are only two years apart so it made growing up really fun, especially when we got to play sports together in high school. Even though it wasn't until she left for Taylor that she finally figured out how cool I was, she has always been my best friend. From taking bubble baths, to making up dances, playing brats, always matching (thanks mom), and playing volleyball together you have always been the best big sister I could have ever asked for! I guess Cody is pretty cool too;) Favorite memory: My favorite memory with Sam is going over to our Aunt Katie's house every single Christmas Eve. We wrap presents and we sit and laugh the entire time!

Josh Plummer

Best Man

How we know each other: Cody and I go all the way back to our very first baseball season where we met and our Dad's became best friends. We then have been the best of friends ever since. Our families have grown up together and I am proud to call him my brother. Favorite memory: We have so many years of memories together, so many baseball games and family parties and holidays, and just playing video games, but my favorite memories are for sure playing wiffle ball on our homemade field in the cul-de-sac.

Lindsy Briggs

Matron of Honor

How we know each other: I’m Lindsy and I am the lucky one in the bridal party who has known Samantha her whole entire life because I am her older sister! I have loved watching Sam grow up and become who she is today! Favorite memory: I have lots of favorite memories of Sam, ( I’m going to age myself here) but my favorite memory is so simple because it is the day that she was born! I had always dreamed of being an older sister and she finally made my dreams come true! She had the best chubby cheeks a sister could ask for! You can ask anyone, I was extremely protective over her and people would call me the "body guard". I wanted her all to myself but I couldn't be more excited to share her with a great guy like Cody!

Alex Sanders

Best Man

How we know each other: I met Cody on move in day at Taylor. I was worried about being in a new place and so was he. When I arrived on the first day and met Cody, I knew right away that I had a friend in him for a lifetime. Favorite memory: Cody and I have been through a lot together, probably more than other friends have. We have seen each other through highs and lows. Cody has been my rock through some of my hardest times in life. I consider Cody a brother that I will have for my entire life. Around his sophomore year, he started bringing around this girl named Sam. I knew from the very beginning that some day, Cody would be standing across from Sam with all of us by his side. I cannot wait to be throwing Cody’s kids “Out-Route’s” in their backyard someday as I hope Cody does for mine.

Lauren Culpepper

Bridesmaid

How we know each other: I met Sammie Joi at the airport for the first time when she first came to Georgia to spend the holidays with Cody and our family! I am Cody's older sister and always dreamed of having the most awesome sister in law. And BOOM here she is! Favorite memory: One of my all-time favorites is going parasailing with her in Orange Beach two years ago. The boys didn’t want to go and we did so we just went and did it and those pictures and that time was so much fun! I also love when she moves furniture out of the way so she can make a dance party (which is also one of my favorite things to do). I can’t wait until she becomes a Tait and becomes my real life sister! I love you Sammie Joi oh and of course Cody too!

Trey Culpepper

Groomsman

How we know each other: As intimidating as it can be to meet your future wife’s brother, I have never met a more caring, kind and honest person as Cody Darwin Tait. He is one of the most genuine men I have had the pleasure of becoming close friends with. How Cody landed Sam we still aren’t sure? Favorite memory: One of my fondest moments of Cody, is tubing down the Chattahoochee, while constantly watching everyone else struggle, we were able to maneuver through the madness and make it to the bottom without any problems whatsoever. I couldn’t have been more thrilled for Cody and Sam both when they told us they were tying the knot. I wish them nothing sincere happiness and joy for the rest of their lives. So much love to both of you.

Kate Lindke

Bridesmaid

How we know each other: I met Sam in Mr. Ladwigs 3rd grade class at Toledo Christian. Right after we met, we were instantly inseparable! Sam and I have experienced almost everything together while growing up- everything from very first kisses, both having a deep love for One Tree Hill, family vacations, working together, summers at the cottage, and endless laughs- all leading up to seeing Sam get engaged to the man of her dreams! Favorite memory: taking our yearly trip with Sams family to Virginia Beach! Us trying to steal some wine out of the fridge and then lay out all day. We had so many great times there together.

Wyatt Whitman

Groomsman

How we know each other: We met freshman year at college, we were on the same floor and teammates on the baseball team. We hung out a lot, played Madden, argued who was better, UofM or MSU. Cody was a great teammate and roommate, because he was so hardworking and determined, and made those around him better as well. He is one of the most loyal people I’ve ever met, he will always have my back no matter what. Favorite memory: He’s hilarious, so I have a a lot. One of my favorites is from during our senior year when we roomed together. Cody always loved to sing in the shower, and you could hear him from everywhere in the apartment. My fiancé and I happened to be making dinner in the kitchen one night while Cody was singing, so we decided to slow dance while he unknowingly serenaded us.

Hannah Paul

Bridesmaid

How we know each other: Sam and I have been friends since 4th grade and in the same classes up until junior year of college-(that’s 11 years of seeing each other almost every day-CRAZY) Favorite memory: When I look back at my Taylor and TCS memories Sam is in 100% of them. From Steve driving us to football games while we sang and danced, to High school, club, and college volleyball games and practices, to countless sleepovers and late nights crying while doing hw, and to the endless laughs despite it all Sam has been with me through all of it. I am so thankful to have had Sam by my side for so much of my life but now it’s time for Cody to be by her side and I couldn’t be happier for the both of them. Thanks for all the memories Korn and I can’t wait for the many more when your a Tait.

Hudson Mitchel

Groomsman

How we know each other: The first night I met Cody I just started coming around Loganville and we met at a relay for life event. I rode with him back home and we decided he wanted to show me Loganville's haunted Jack Pittman road. We saw a ghost at the same time, didn't talk about it for 10 minutes, and then started to freak out. Scariest moment of my life. Favorite memory: My favorite memory of Cody is anytime, how he gets so mad every time I say something bad about Michigan. It genuinely makes my day every time.

Abbie Toland

Bridesmaid

How we know each other: Sam and I met when we were in kindergarten at Toledo Christian, and have been best friends ever since. It’s crazy to think about the fact that we have been friends for over 15 years, with many sleepovers, countless hours of volleyball, late night drives, or Jesus talks. A lot of our major life moments have been together, but this new journey you are embarking on is your own and exciting... And I am so happy you have found the person you will spend forever with! Favorite memory: Growing up together for this long, creates too many memories and not enough words to express them, but I couldn’t be more excited to join you on your wedding day!

Kyle Jordan

Groomsman

How we know each other: I met you through Rachel when you were going into your freshman year of high school. Out of all the time we have spent together Favorite memory: my favorite memory would be the get togethers on holiday weekends where we all laugh, talk, drink, and play Olympic cornhole. It’s been an experience watching you become the man you are today, and I’m honored to be a part of your life

Becca Buchs

Bridesmaid

How we know each other: I met Sam my freshman year in dorm life in Bergwall Hall. She was known as the "fun blond" on the volleyball team and I couldn't wait to get to know all the "Ohio girls". One snapchat led to us becoming roommates the next three years, staying up till 3 every night on both basketball & volleyball game nights, WebMD diagnoses, and eating way too many peanut butter pretzels. Favorite Memory: The most unforgettable college spring breaks in Florida the past two years, especially Sam's aux games & emergency stops for tooth fillings that are falling out!

David Chabut

Groomsman

How we know each other: I met Cody for the first time in the summer going into 9th grade. We were playing JV summer ball and I was the "new kid". He didn't really like me until he realized I could play a little bit. Favorite Memory: So my favorite memory was in 2012 after the baseball state championship. Cody came running onto the field, hugging me while we both cried. That's when I knew he was my best friend and how selfless of a man he really was. It could also be the time that I stole his cookie from his lunch box in 9th grade, He stood up and made a huge scene about it. I ended up getting a detention... because I stole a cookie from my best friend's lunchbox.

Abby Buchs

Bridesmaid

How we know each other: I met Sam freshman year at Taylor, and ended up rooming with her super last minute sophomore year. That led us into rooming together the next three years and getting to know her best friends from Ohio also! Those three years were filled with candle obsessions, late night talks, and Sam talking (and sometimes crying) in her sleep! Favorite memory: My favorite memory with Sam was our 18 hour long road trip to Tennessee and Florida, singing at the top of our lungs, and eating way too many protein balls!!

Clay Riggins

Groomsman

How we know each other:We met freshman year at Taylor as teammates on the baseball team. We spent plenty of times goofing off in the dugout, dorm rooms and watching sports together. Favorite memory:When we woke up early to tailgate before an IU vs Michigan football game. He becomes a different animal on Michigan football game days. His competitive nature and passion drew me to grow with him as a brother. It was encouraging to watch Cody mature in his personality and faith when he met Sam. I truly believe their relationship pushed Cody to sharpen his faith, encourage those around him and put Sam first in his life. Their relationship has been truly special to watch, and I know that Cody will bring that same energy he brings on Michigan gameday to their marriage and many years to come.

Allyson McGuire

Bridesmaid

How we know each other: I met Sam my freshman year of college, her senior year of high school when we were both visiting our boyfriends at Taylor University. We quickly became great friends no matter the distance. Favorite memory: We would make trips to Indiana, Toledo & Dayton to stay with each other. Everything was perfect when I transferred to Taylor & was with Sam. When Sam & her old boyfriend broke up, I  was by her side and luckily had a great plan up my sleeve, to introduce her to my boyfriend’s best friend, Cody. You could say this wedding is all because of me (:. Sam and I continue to be the best of friends from states away and will be in each others weddings this coming year. I  am thankful for the MANY laughs and fun memories with Sam and could not be happier for her and Cody.

Evan Crowe

Groomsman

How we know each other: We met each other on the first day ever in college and both spent the whole day together pretty much.. we both were like yeah... this place isn’t much like our public school... but you seem pretty cool.. lol. We then became crazy close around Junior year when I was the best wing man of all time and introduced him to my friend Sam... Favorite memory: The best memory is all the games he was in the crowd making me laugh while I was playing basketball at Taylor University. He would sit in the front row and constantly yell at the refs or antagonize the opposite team.. lol

Callie Drage

Bridesmaid

How we know each other: Sam and I first met at Premier Volleyball. Sam liberoed behind me as I hit outside. I'm not sure if it's because I was really bad at volleyball at the time, but it took almost a full 8 months for us to actually speak to one another and become best friends. Soon Sam somehow convinced me to transfer to TCS. Sleepover after sleepover, lunch dates, late night walks, birthday parties, laughing until we peed, thousands of volleyball games and practices, college visits, growing in our faith... These are some of the best of times in Sam and I's Friendship. Favorite memory: The time when Sam overflowed a SMALL McDonald’s coffee cup with her urine and tossed it out of the car window at 75 MPH and most of it ended up right back in the car, mostly on me.

Andrew Roseberry

Groomsman

How we know each other: We met 8th grade year in the batting cages behind old red devil field. We were the only two lefty hitters on the team. I proceeded to show Cody how to hit a baseball. Little did I know that one day he would show me how to play college ball, graduate college in 4 years, get a big boy job and get married. Favorite memory:Its almost impossible to narrow down all the good times we've had. That's because I can't think back on high school without Cody Tait being a major part of it. My favorite that stands out is when we got so mad at each other. It was over, you guessed it, Michigan football. We got in a major fight and the boys had to break it up. Now we laugh about it. No matter what Cody tells you, Georgia is better. If you're reading this, Go Blue and congrats buddy!

Abby Desimpelare

Bridesmaid

How we know each other: I first met Sam when we were moving into our college dorms for our very first Taylor University Volleyball early camp experience! We were moving into Bergwall Hall and our parents helped each other move on in for the first day of freshman year early camp. After that we have spent four years of being teammates on Taylor's volleyball team, living near each other and becoming best friends! Favorite Memory: Being Sam's number one fan on the sidelines, whether that was giving her tips on defense or handing her her water bottle and a towel for the two seconds she would have to step off the court, I have loved being able to play with Sam!!

Bryant Chandler

Groomsman

How we know each other: I met Cody when we started kindergarten in Mrs. Broome's class. He was the first friend I made in Loganville / School. That ended up turning into a lifetime friendship. Favorite Memory: My favorite memory is always playing against Cody and his high school baseball team. I was a catcher and he was one of their fastest runners. So we always kept a mental count of who won the ratio of stolen bases.

Julia Pomerenke

Bridesmaid

How we know each other: I met Sam our freshman year of college at TU. We played volleyball together and tried to learn how to do college life together. Favorite memory: My favorite memory of Sam is the time our freshman year when I was clueless about life and Sam and I were eating cookies on her futon in her dorm room and she was asking me about my hometown. So, I started to explain to her what life is like in Nebraska with all the farming and cows and I remember looking over at her and her expression was so confused and slightly concerned so I stopped talking and she just said, wow, yeah I’m from Toledo. That’s when I knew I liked Sam.

Bradley Cosby

Groomsman

How we know each other: My name is Bradley Cosby, and I’m Cody’s younger cousin. We’ve really known each other forever since he is my family and we have grown up together. He is more of a brother to me than anything else. Favorite memory: One of my favorite times together, other than my bachelor party, is probably when we were at Fort Yargo one year and this kid was picking on me I think. So Cody just comes up and punches him in the face! The window story is a close second to that.
