Cody and I first met in the winter of 2017 at Taylor University during J-term when we were both at a mutual friends apartment. From then on we both knew of each other since I was on the volleyball team and he was on the baseball team. We knew of each other and always would say hi to each other in passing. When I came back the following fall I was newly single and looking for who I was going to ask on our annual TUVB fall pick-a-date. One night, I was walking out to my car to find my friends Evan and Allyson. I started talking to them and told them I did not know who to take on the pick-a-date. They asked me if I knew who Cody Tait was. I said I did and thought he was so cute. Allyson told me that Cody was one of her favorite friends of Evans and was so funny. So then I started to think about Him. The next day I passed Cody and he said hi very intentionally. I knew that they had said something. After that, we started texting and talking until we eventually hung out for the first time on September 15, 2017 and we went to Dairy Queen. After that we spent the next month getting to know each other, hang out, study together, cheer Sam on in volleyball season until on October 22, 2017 Cody finally asked me to be his girlfriend. Since then we have enjoyed going back and forth to Georgia and Ohio to get to know each others families and friends. Have loved getting to cheer each other on through sports games, and hanging out with some of the most amazing friends. (Hence huge bridal party) We have also loved growing together spiritually at Taylor and growing together as a couple. We have now been dating for two years and are so excited to move to Georgia Next Spring!! We cannot wait to celebrate our big day with everyone in May!
