LaPorte is a beautiful mountain town that has a year round population of 26 people and rests at an elevation of 4,980 feet. This town is remote with very few amenities and minimal cell service. If you have AT&T, you will have some service and there is wifi at the hotel. There is a small general store (they have beer, ice, and shelf safe items) and a bar for your food and drink options. The roads are two lane, windy roads so you’ll want to plan accordingly. My gps worked most of the way but was spotty in areas. Travel should take about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Oroville.
