Rice Village
Where we live. Adjacent to Rice University and the Texas Medical Center. A great place to walk around and explore the stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. Some of our favorites are below. Montrose
This is where our wedding venue is located! We enjoy lots of places in this district. There are also some thrift stores here if you are looking to do some shopping. East Downtown
Great area to walk to different bars, breweries. Have dinner at Tiny Champions, Nancy's Hustle, or The Original Ninfa's on Navigation, and then go check out Truck Yard and 8th Wonder Brewery.
Flight Club Houston^
A bar/restaurant that has interactive dart games (think Top Golf for darts). One of our favorite places to go with friends/family. Note: 21+ after 6pm Sunday-Friday and all day Saturday but kid-friendly otherwise
Hermann Park^
A great place to spend some time outside on a nice day. Check out the Japanese Garden and Centennial Gardens or (if you have kids) take a ride on the Hermann Park Railroad. Adjacent to the Houston Zoo and multiple museums.
Postino Uptown Park*^
A great place to grab brunch or dinner. Great bruschetta, charcuterie boards, and wine.
Kenny & Ziggy's*^
New York Deli with a huge menu. Great breakfast options and giant sandwiches for lunch/dinner.
Local Foods - Post Oak*^
Quicker-service restaurant with fresh sandwiches, salads, and arguably the best french fries in Houston
Tiny Champions^
One of our favorite restaurants for the incredible pizzas, risotto, and desserts. We recommend getting a reservation.
Truth BBQ^
Some of the best BBQ we've had. Plan to get here early or wait in long lines.
Candente^
Our favorite Mexican restaurant in Houston. Try out their sister restaurant next door, The Pit Room, if you're more in the mood for BBQ or breakfast tacos.
Rosie Cannonball^
Another great place for pizza, pasta, and drinks. Go for the happy hour every day from 9-10 PM and enjoy half-off pizza and drinks.
Saint Arnold Brewing Company^
Our favorite brewery in Houston. Great food and beer options, very family-friendly.
