Lewin Farms Apple Picking

Small farm with roasted corn, fresh pies and usually some type of fruit to pick. In November there may be some apples left, but if not, give a call because their corn maze could still be open!

Harbes Family Farm - Mattituck

Harbes Farm is one of the most iconic farms on Long Island. Come taste some of their wine, grab a turkey leg and walk through the apple trees. There is usually live music on the weekend and lots of foods to buy including their fresh pies. For the kids, there is a playground and tractor rides during the season. They can also go through the corn maze and meet some animals as long as it's not too cold. :)

Riverhead Ciderhouse

The Riverhead Ciderhouse has a bunch of fresh hard ciders on top. Be sure to stop and try a tasting. They also have giant pretzels and is a kid friendly place with live music and games.

Blue Point Brewing Company

A great place for a brewery tasting if you are in the area. This brewery is known throughout Long Island.

Maureen's Kitchen

Amazing Breakfast spot! If you do go, be sure to leave yourself some extra time as there is always a wait.

The Corner Cafe

On one of our trips to visit the Watermill, we were lucky enough to try this spot. If you are looking for a quaint breakfast spot, this is the place. Their waffles are giant! Be sure to leave some time as it is a small restaurant.

Boulevard Hot Bagels

There are a bunch of bagel places so you cant go wrong! This is one that had a high rating and looks most like a Long Island Bagel spot. Whichever bagel spot you pick, please don't get a bagel from Dunkin', just coffee.

Akropolis

Amazing Greek food! If you are a fan of gyros, spinach pies and souvlaki, this place is a must! Also has a lunch special that is worth every penny.

The Tap Room

Top Room in Massapequa is one of the places we love to visit. They also have a location in Patchogue where you can sample beers and have some good American bar food. Burgers, Sandwiches and Apps.

Kushi Sushi Inc

We love sushi! We haven't tried this place but it did have the highest star ratings :) We have tried Kotobuki and Aji near our house but they have chains nearby Smithtown.

Hauppauge Palace Diner

One of the things Long Island is known for are their diners. Here is one close by that you can check out :) but be careful, their menus are usually a few pages long.

Sal's of Smithtown

We haven't visited this place, but their special slices look amazing!

Strong Island Ice Cream

This is one of Anthony's favorite ice cream spots. All ice cream is homemade! Anthony's favorite is the Chocolate Peanut Butter, while Samantha just tried the Rice Krispy Treat!
