Shane and I have known each other and been friends since we were little kids. He would always invite me to his hill climbs in Sturgis, and the summer before senior year was no exception. That particular hill climb was eventful, and afterwards I left feeling like we could be more than friends. I invited him to my family's annual BB Gun Shootout at the end of the week where we were questioned (a lot) about our relationship status, which of course was just friends... he won the shoot out by the way! After that he kept telling me we were just going to be friends (yes those were his exact words), and well I just wasn't having that. It took me a couple of weeks, but I think I won him over! Now almost four years later, a couple of states, and many adventures ahead, I still get to call my high school sweetheart mine!
Well I cant really argue with her side of the story, although I do have some things to add. I was told when you find the right one you'll know, but what they don't tell you is when you do find the right one, it will be at the most random, unexpected time. Well it was in my case anyways, therefore I was a little gun shy and didn't want to rush into anything. Now this parts very important. I was gun shy which made Sam think I was playing hard to get, and for some odd reason, this made her want to be with me more. That's all I have to add to the story. The rest is history.
