Flight
A little further away, at about a 2-hour drive. It is a much larger airport than Reno, and sometimes has better deals!
Travel Note
There are plenty of cozy and convenient places to stay in South Lake Tahoe, whether you’re looking for a quiet cabin in the pines or a spot close to the action. Our wedding will take place in the Tahoe Keys Neighborhood of South Lake Tahoe. Lodging Options- Vacation Rentals: The Tahoe Keys and surrounding neighborhoods have many Airbnb and VRBO homes, perfect for groups and families. Hotels & Lodges: There are a variety of options near Stateline and Heavenly Village if you prefer hotel amenities or want to be closer to town. Travel Tip: Summer is peak season in Tahoe, so we recommend booking early for the best choices.
Travel Note
Renting a car is helpful but not essential. South Lake Tahoe is easy to navigate, and there are plenty of Ubers and local taxis available throughout town. If you want to take in the mountain air, renting an e-bike is a super fun and popular way to get around Tahoe in the summer — perfect for cruising between the lake, trails, and local spots.
