Ancona (AOI), Bologna (BLQ), Rome (FCO)

Ancona (AOI) is the closest airport to the wedding location, approximately 1 hour by car from Rocca d’Ajello. Other options include Bologna (BLQ), about 2.5 hours by car, and Rome (FCO/CIA), approximately 3.5 hours by car.

Getting Around

We have found that the easiest way to get around Italy is by car. We recommend renting a car at whichever airport you fly into and driving to the destination. Train travel is also an option via www.trenitalia.it, and there are additional bus connections available through various providers that can be easily found online. We are currently working to optimize transportation around the day of the wedding for our guests and are happy to help with planning or questions as needed. There will be plenty of parking available at the reception site, as well as at the recommended hotels and villas.

Below you’ll find some accommodation options we’ve arranged. That said, we encourage you to make this trip your own — we know many of you are traveling from far and wide, and we want you to have a wonderful experience in Italy. There are also many excellent hotel and villa options available on Booking.com, Airbnb, and similar platforms. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we can be of assistance in any way.
