Haldi

Beach attire: lightweight fabrics, bright colors and comfortable footwear are recommended!

Please note, guests who plan to attend the Haldi will need to arrive to the hotel by the evening of Wednesday 12/2. The haldi ceremony is an Punjabi pre-wedding tradition meant to celebrate joy and blessings. It involves applying a tumeric paste to the bride and groom as a blessing for their marriage. We suggest wearing something made of natural fabrics, which are easier to wash tumeric out of!

Ladies Mehndi & Mimosas

Dress Code: Wear something comfortable and colorful. Sundresses, jumpsuits, salwar kameez, and sharara sets are all good options.

Please note, this event is for ladies only. Guests who plan to attend the mehndi are recommended to arrive to the hotel by the evening of Wednesday 12/2. The mehndi party is an Indian pre-wedding tradition where the bride & her guests can have henna applied to the hands as a symbol of health and prosperity with the bride's transition into marriage.

The jago is an Punjabi pre-wedding celebration involving eating & dancing to awaken joy, prosperity, and community blessings for the bride and groom.

Sikh Wedding Ceremony

Anand Karaj is the traditional Sikh marriage ceremony, symbolizing the equal partnership between two individuals. Guests will be asked to cover their heads and remove their shoes during this ceremony. Please note, seating will be on floor cushions.

This event will follow the Sikh wedding ceremony. In following tradition, this meal will be vegetarian and guests are asked to abstain from alcohol before and during the ceremony/luncheon.
