Matron of Honor
Sam and Amy met during their first job after graduating from college. Their "Type A" personalities were a perfect match and they bonded over a love for office gossip. The pair have traveled to many exotic destinations like Ensenada and Scottsdale. Amy is a truly amazing friend, except for the fact that she refuses to move back to the Bay Area to be closer to Sam.
Best Man
Keith and Mike met their freshman year of college, quickly bonding over their shared musical love of "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter. A Gatehouse Dorm castoff, Keith made himself at home in Mike's freshman year dorm room where they could be found studying for hours... to memorize each turn on every Mario Kart level. Keith is a great friend and an even better person. Mike has no concerns at all about what stories Keith might tell in his best man speech.
Bridesmaid
Katie is Mike's younger sister. Mike claimed that his perfect life was ruined when Katie was born, but really the birth of his first sister meant an incredible life was just beginning. Katie and Sam bonded over a love of oysters and all things Martha's Vineyard. Katie is also responsible for teaching Sam how to paddle board, a task that demonstrated both her patience and persistence. Katie has a big heart and always strives to make those she cares about happy.
Groomsman
Nick is Sam’s younger brother. Like Mike, Nick is a Bay Area sports fan and will not miss a game unless absolutely necessary. Sam used to try to keep up with Nick on their dirt bikes, but quickly realized she was out of her league. Now, Nick spends his weekends riding motorcycles with their dad. For some reason, all dogs absolutely love him... It must be his kind heart!
Bridesmaid
Kristy is Mike's youngest sister. Mike has always joked that Kristy is "too smart for her own good," but really Mike is just upset that another one of his sisters turned out smarter than him. Sam knew Kristy would make a great future sister-in-law when she saw how much Lola liked her. Kristy is an active person who loves the outdoors... so she has a lot in common with Lola. Mike and Sam have both come to admire how thoughtful and passionate Kristy is and cannot wait to see what her future holds.
Groomsman
Matt is the non-family person that Mike has spent the most years living with (Sam included). Over the years, they have transitioned from grungy dorm room, to grungy townhouse, to grungy New York City apartment, maturing at a remarkably flat rate along the way. Matt has put up with Mike in ways that only few can understand... and is truly a great friend because of it.
Bridesmaid
Sam and Gaby became instant friends when they met at Amy’s bachelorette party. They bonded over a love of country music and have many fond memories from their Stagecoach adventures. Gaby is a fan of the finer things in life including 2000’s pop music, "twerk tights" and the Real Housewives series. Sam and Gaby’s dream is to be on Supermarket Sweep with the winning strategy of grabbing all the diapers and formula.
Groomsman
Joe and Mike met in college where they started racking up remarkable accomplishments. In freshman year economics, Mike and Joe's GPA added up to over 4.0! They became regular road trip buddies, making the drive from Colgate to Connecticut in Joe's infamous big blue Suburban. Joe is a great friend who Mike has leaned on for advice when tough decisions have come his way over the years.
Bridesmaid
Ashley is Sam’s wonderful cousin. When they were little, the girls loved playing with their Lion King stuffed animals and annoying their younger brothers. They have become closer as adults and take every opportunity to visit one another. Elephants are their favorite animals because they remind them of their grandmother. Ashley loves hiking and is a great companion for wine tasting adventures!
Groomsman
Michael Kodesch, or "Desch" as he is affectionately called by friends, lived two floors above Mike during freshman year. Desch was so good at Guitar Hero that it took Mike nearly a full year to summon the courage to talk to him. Their friendship grew quickly and Mike had the honor of officiating Desch's wedding a few years ago when Desch married another one of Mike's friends, Ali Hunter. Desch has been, and will always be, a tremendous friend that Mike is lucky to have.
Bridesmaid
Sam knew it was love at first sight when she picked Lola up from a Chick-fil-A parking lot. She was a terror as a puppy and gained the nickname “Gator” for her mouthy behavior. When Mike came into the picture, Sam was quickly demoted to second place. Lola loves balls, chasing squirrels, and going for hikes. We couldn’t imagine getting married without her!
Groomsman
Will and Mike have known each other since freshman year of college. As avid golfers, Will and Mike have been on countless golf trips together and can say with certainty that they have many more to come. They also have a longstanding weekly tradition of texting "happy Friday" to each other and catching up on what's new in their lives since the last week. Mike had the privilege of making a speech at Will's wedding and is sure there will be no retaliation in July. Will is as good a guy as there is and Mike is fortunate to have him as a friend.
Flower Girl
Sophia is Amy’s daughter. Sam met Sophia soon after she was born and knew she was a diva in the making. At age 4, she already has a wide array of interests. Sophia loves to dance, put together puzzles, and ride on one of her many motorized vehicles. She may be shy at first, but she is definitely a talker and will tell you all about her latest Disney obsession.
Ring Bearer
A bay area native like Mike and Sam, Archer is the son of close friends Andrew and Alice Kodesch and is the nephew of groomsman Michael Kodesch. As a baby, Archer taught Mike and Sam about the value of a good pacifier. Now a preschooler, Archer has quickly developed a passion for plastic golf clubs, swimming pools, impromptu dance parties, and of course, cupcakes.
Officiant
Jim is Mike's Dad. Like Mike, Jim grew up playing sports and is now the Athletic Director at the high school all three of his kids attended. While Jim passed along his passion for sports to Mike, he was unable to do the same with his passion for playing basketball in short shorts. Jim has been told he is not allowed to virtually officiate the wedding from the hot tub on site, a decision that he has deemed to be narrow-minded. Jim has been the best Dad that Mike could have ever hoped for and Sam cannot wait to call him her father-in-law. Mike and Sam are thrilled he agreed to officiate their wedding!
