We are so appreciative that so many of you are traveling from far away to come see us tie the knot! For our non-LA guests, we recommend most to fly into either Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and renting a car to drive to Santa Barbara wine country. Another great option for domestic travelers is to fly into Burbank Airport (BUR) and take the Amtrak train from BUR to Downtown Santa Barbara. From there, Amtrak runs a bus to downtown Solvang. Lastly, there is a small airport in Santa Barbara (SBA), though it offers limited daily flights. Lompoc, Buellton, and Solvang are nestled in Santa Barbara Wine Country. From Santa Barbara, the easiest route to get there is to take CA-154 W/San Marcos Pass Rd and CA-246 W/E Hwy 246. We recommend guests to stay in either Buellton or Solvang to be close to the wedding venue. Both have great hotel and AirBnB/VRBO options with lovely areas to explore during the day. Transportation to and from the ceremony will be accommodated in these towns.

Traffic Warning

Please be aware that traffic in the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara metro areas can be a total nightmare. Depending on the rather unpredictable patterns of traffic, traveling from LAX to Santa Barbara can take anywhere from an hour and a half to 3+ hours. Additionally, traveling from Santa Barbara proper to the Lompoc/Buellton/Solvang area typically takes around an hour. We advise all guests to pad their travel plans with plenty of extra time.
