We know, we know... Look, the last thirteen years have been a crazy journey spanning three cities, multiple grad-school stints, a long distance relationship, the adoption of a crazy (and adorable) dog, a global pandemic and Bob Odenkirk. Through all of that, we knew we loved each other and wanted to spend our lives together but wanted to make sure we were in a place of relative stability so that we could really appreciate all that getting married meant and enjoy celebrating it with those we love. Thanks to those of you who have waited all that time and to those we've met along the way. We're super stoked to have you with us as we finally do this. Frankly, we wouldn't have it any other way. Now, onto the nitty gritty...
No, we will not be offering hotel blocks for the wedding. There are so many wonderful places to stay and many of our guests have expressed that they wanted to find accommodations in different areas within the Santa Ynez Valley, so feel free to decide on whatever accommodations you'd like. Please refer to the Travel page for more info.
While we think your kids are darling, we would like an adults-only celebration. If your children are traveling with you, they are free to join us for Sunday brunch! Additionally, if you are looking for local childcare options, our coordinator has recommended the following two options: The Little Guest | Debbie Donley | 805.688.1812| www.thelittleguest.com Mummy’s Day Off | 805.570.6171 | www.mummysdayoff.com
Southern California is known for having beautiful weather year-around. Lompoc, CA is no different. We are expecting weather in the 70s-80s during the day and potentially weather in the 60s in the evening. The reception will be held in a barn and we will bring in heat lamps if necessary. For those of you who tend to get cold easily, we recommend bringing a shawl or light coat for when the sun goes down.
To play it safe, we would recommend giving about 3 hours to get from LAX to Downtown Santa Barbara. Traffic is no joke in LA!
Depending on the day, we would recommend guests to give one hour to get from Santa Barbara to Lompoc. While it's not very far, the W/E CA-246 Route is a narrow mountain pass with about a 45 MPG.
