FAQs

The Wedding Website of Samuel Eisenstat and Michael Hession
Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Wedding (Cocktail Attire): Think suits, jackets, ties, cocktail dresses, or nice separates. Feel free to have fun with it - light fabrics and colors encouraged, but no need to overthink it Welcome Reception (Smart Beachy Casual): Anything you’d wear for a nice dinner by the water. The more beachy and nautical the better!

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year

Answer

Early September typically brings warm afternoons and crisp, brisk evenings. At night we suggest bringing an additional layer.

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

If you are staying in Provincetown we encourage people to walk (when the weather is nice it can be fun to walk through town) or take a taxi/uber/pedicab. Day of the wedding: If you are planning on driving there is a parking lot for wedding guests directly behind the venue (1 High Pole Hill Road, Provincetown, MA 02657). There is also a paid parking lot ("Grace Hall Parking Lot") a 5 minute walk to the west of the venue (Prince St &, Bradford St, Provincetown, MA 02657) If you would like to enter through the incline elevator (the most fun way to enter the venue).

Question

Are rideshares/taxis easy to get in Provincetown?

Answer

There is Uber/Lyft and also taxi services that you can call. If you are doing a taxi we recommend calling in advance to make a reservation. We recommend Cape Cab and Pride Taxi. Please note these ride share services are limited.

Question

When should I arrive and when should I leave?

Answer

Please plan to arrive by 4pm to the incline elevator in front of the Pilgrim Monument at Bradford and Ryder street. On Saturday night the wedding will be ending at 10pm. After this we plan to bring the energy into town!

Question

What is there to do in the area?

Answer

See our things to do section!

Question

What are the Monument grounds like? What kind of shoes should I wear?

Answer

The wedding will take place outside (weather permitting) on the concrete Center Plaza but cocktail hour and the reception will involve walking on the Monument's grassy lawns. We will have a wooden dance floor for our tented reception.

Question

How am I getting home after the ceremony?

Answer

Please note: the inclined elevator will close after guests arrive. This means all exits from the reception must be made via the museum and its parking lot. It is a short walk down the hill back to Bradford street on foot. FOR GUESTS STAYING IN THE FAR WEST AND EAST ENDS OF TOWN: we hired a 14-person "Funk Bus" to transport guests to the AWOL and the Harbor Hotel/Breakwater at the end of the night. We also asked that it drop guests off (safely) along Bradford street anywhere in between at the cross street of your choosing, please just inform the driver when you board. Due to how congested it is with pedestrians, bicycles, and cars, the bus will be unable to drive down Commercial Street.
