The Wedding Website of Laura Miller and Sam King
Question

Do I have to stay at Bolton Valley Resort?

Answer

No, you absolutely don't. There are other great options in neighboring towns like Waterbury and Stowe. We picked Bolton Valley Resort because we loved the idea of having our family and friends together for the entire weekend. The resort is just up the hill from the welcome party on Friday and wedding on Saturday. You also can access hiking, biking, and a couple restaurants right at the resort if you don't have access to a car.

Question

What about my kids?

Answer

We realize this is a long trip for many of you. While we welcome children to come for the weekend, we are unable to accommodate children at the ceremony and reception on Saturday. We know there will be at least a few kids coming and are working on childcare options for you at the Resort for Saturday (kids are welcome the Friday's pizza dinner). Please make sure to mark on your invite that you will need childcare support for Saturday night!

Question

Burlington Int. Airport isn't really accessible for me.

Answer

While this is an international airport, it is still small and only has so many flight every day. We suggest also looking at Boston Logan Airport if you have extra time. The drive is an easy ~3 hours.

Question

What else is there to do in the area?

Answer

Lots! If you are tacking on an extra day or two (which we can't recommend more), we encourage you to explore the Stowe area. Go for a hike at Smugglers Notch, explore downtown Waterbury or Stowe for shopping and a bite, or hit up a brewery like The Alchemist or Stowe Cider.

Question

Do I need to get a rental car?

Answer

The drive from Burlington Airport to Bolton Valley Resort is~30 minutes. We recommend getting a car or carpooling with others. We highly recommend if you are interested in exploring the area more -- there's so much to see and do. That being said, you can take an Uber or a car service to the Resort. Please text Laura or Sam directly if you need more assistance.

Question

What does Bolton Valley Resort offer?

Answer

Bolton Valley is a family owned ski resort, but also has a ton to offer during the summer. This includes: disc golf, an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, hiking trails, mountain biking, pickleball and tennis courts! There are also two restaurants on site and a little shop. Just remember that this is summer hours at a ski resort, so you may just need to flexible with open and closing times. :) Go to BoltonValley.com for more.
