Room Block - BOOK ASAP

Answer

Our room block will be at Chula Vista. See the "travel" tab for more information. ROOM BLOCK RATE IS NOT CONSIDERED AFTER OCTOBER 14TH. The room block is also "released" so bookings can only be made based on hotel availability. Book early to ensure a room and at the room block rate.

Transportation

Answer

Please take advantage of our provided transportation!! We will have transportation ONLY to and from Chula Vista. There will be no transportation to the ceremony. After the ceremony you will have time to check into the hotel and at 4:00pm transportation will begin picking up from Chula and bring guests to the reception for cocktail hour. See the "Travel" tab for transportation schedule. The hotel main lobby is a little confusing to get to from the room block rooms (at least we were confused when we walked it). When you check in that will be the lobby you need to get back to for the shuttle. If you are staying in a condo, you will have to walk outside to get to the lobby. The condo's lobby is different and a separate hotel chunk.

Dress Code

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses / rompers, and the gentlemen should wear a formal shirt or a sports coat. No jeans please!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly invite only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you are welcome to bring a guest, your name and guest will be listed on the online RSVP.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

If your child is not listed on the online RSVP and you are unable to find a sitter, please reach out to let us know you will be bringing them! It is important to let Sam or Jensen know (you can let us know when filling out the RSVP). We will have to update our seating chart to accommodate another chair. If your child is listed on the RSVP, they are already accommodated for. There are no separate child meals. They will receive the same meal adults do.

What happens after the ceremony?

There is a bit of a gap between the ceremony and cocktail hour. This is due to the church since the latest the church begins wedding ceremonies is 2pm. After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Cocktail hour begins at 4:00pm which is also when the barn opens for guests. If you are staying at Chula Vista and would like to use our provided transportation to go to the reception, head back to the hotel after the ceremony. The bus will be going back and forth until cocktail hour is over (4:00pm-5:30).

Our wedding colors are leafy green, cream, black and terracotta. The reception is taking place in a rustic barn in the woods.

What happens if I can not make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” on this website so we can plan accordingly.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

Ceremony: Please no pictures, our photographer will be there! Reception: We encourage guests to post pictures on to your social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #Costawedding or tag sam and I, so we can see our wedding pictures from our guests! We will also be having a magic mirror. It will print pictures for you, send them to your phone or email and we will get a copy of each! Please make sure to get at least one picture taken so we have one of each of our guests!!!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Ceremony: It is off season for the dells so downtown will have parking. We recommend car pooling from the hotel. Parking meters are enforced April 1st through September 30th of each year ONLY. Meaning in November you should not have to pay the meters. There is a parking lot off the church. Reception: There are no lined spots... find a spot that best fits your car, there may already be staff cars parked that will help gauge where to park. If you are able, please park furthest away to save close parking for guests who need it.

Drinks and food?

Answer

We will be having 4 hours of open bar where alcohol is free. Outside of those 4 hours you may purchase alcohol at your expense. Pop and water will be free. We will be having a family style dinner. There will be salad, dinner rolls, butternut squash ravioli (which is amazing), margarita chicken, garlic mashed, rice and glazed carrots. The food will be brought to your table and you can help yourself to your serving! We will also be having an assortment of desserts, a coffee bar, and late night pizzas at 10:00PM.
