Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Have you met Sam? Of course! This counts for all events! Please reach out as soon as you know they'll be in attendance, so we have time to gather what Sam's been dreaming of when having our favorite littles with us on our special day.

Question

Will there be dinner at the ceremony?

Answer

No, but for good reason! We will have a late lunch at the picnic! Please use the window of time between the picnic and the ceremony to grab a bite to eat, if needed! Our dream of a backyard wedding and ceremony went through many variations before we landed on our perfect day and timeline. We decided on the picnic in the park in order to welcome the number of guests we wanted to include while keeping open some space for the ceremony in our backyard! Having a dinner would've limited the number of friends and family we wished to invite on our special day, so we brainstormed our genius switch-a-roo to the schedule! If you stick around, there'll be a late night snack!

Question

Parking Options

Answer

Welcome Picnic: There is plenty of street parking alongside the park. We will provide a map to show where Picnic Site B so you can choose parking closest to where we will all gather and celebrate. Please be respectful of the residences in the area and do not block driveways. Ceremony: Street parking available! We have chatted with our neighbors (whom are all invited) about the parking needs for our memorable event. While the street directly in front of our home will likely fill up, there is tons of parking down N. Amherst towards Columbia Annex Park. It's a lovely walk on what we consider to be one of the best streets in University Park! Please be respectful of the residences in the area and do not block driveways. Whether you are local or flying in, please let us know if you think you will take an Uber or Lyft - we might have something special for you!

Question

Why don't you have a registry?

Answer

We feel so lucky to have found the items we hoped for in life. Now having bought our first home, we feel so blessed with our basic necessities and more. We have selected our favorite charities to share with you all. Please consider donating in honor of our wedding! We appreciate your support of these fantastic organizations that we care so much about. Harper's Playground is driven by the vision of a world in which everyone is included. We create playgrounds where people of all abilities connect through play and thrive. https://www.harpersplayground.org/donate/ Rose Haven's mission is to provide day shelter, resources, emotional support, and community connections to women, children, and marginalized genders experiencing homelessness and poverty. https://rosehaven.org/helping/financial-gifts/ Modest Needs is an organization that aids individuals or families through temporary financial crisis that would otherwise be pushed into poverty. They never pay applicants directly, but instead help with make-or-break moments by paying for a service directly. https://www.modestneeds.org/donation/donate-now-online.asp We feel so much gratitude for your attendance - that's all we could ask for and more!

Question

Do you have a hotel block?

Answer

We wish we had something down the street to book out for you all, but North Portland has few options. We are only a few miles from Downtown Portland and other areas filled with hotel options! If you are looking for lodging, airbnb's or need recommendations, please reach out to us.
