Causeway Park
A must see! Awesome walk that takes you into the middle of Lake Champlain with 360 view of the lake, the Adirondacks, and the Green Mountains.
Shelburne Farms
A gorgeous place to go for a walk. There are many fun trails, plus a farm store and beautiful gardens at the inn. The property has a fascinating history and used to be connected with the Shelburne Museum. FUN FACT: Shelburne Farms and Museum and the Biltmore House in Asheville, NC have a connected history. Both estates were built for members of the Vanderbilt family. The Biltmore House was built for George Washington Vanderbilt II and Shelburne Farms was built for George's sister Lila Vanderbilt Webb and her husband William Seward Webb. The estates also shared a landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmstead.
Shelburne Museum
Another fun stop! Trails, art, and historical buildings. They host summer concert series sponsored by Ben and Jerry's too. One of the best places to see an outdoor show in the Burlington area.
Camel's Hump and Mount Mansfield
Two of Vermont's tallest mountains. There are numerous great hikes nearby.
Rocky Ridge Golf Club
Sam's golf club! Great course with a fun atmosphere.
Nest Coffee & Bakery
Our absolute favorite coffee shop in Essex Junction! It's within walking distance of our apartment.
Stone Corral Brewery
Our wedding reception bartender! They host a great trivia on Wednesday nights and have an awesome food and drink menu. A local Richmond favorite.
Waterworks Food & Drink
One of the best places to eat in nearby Winooski. The patio looks over the Winooski River. The menu features classic American options and they have a great beer, wine and cocktail selection.
The Skinny Pancake Burlington
A great brunch spot in downtown Burlington. Close to the waterfront. Awesome crepes and breakfast food. Gluten free options.
