Chris first met Cody in a slightly unexpected way—after asking Sara out, only to find out she had a boyfriend. Her loyalty and authenticity have made her an irreplaceable friend in Sam’s life—and a perfect addition to the wedding party.

As Chris’s older brother, Jon has been around for the entire ride. Growing up, they were more like independent co-pilots than inseparable partners in crime, each doing their own thing. But over the years, their bond has definitely grown stronger. Chris has always admired Jon, especially the way he’s tackled fatherhood—mostly by winging it with confidence and a good sense of humor. His laid-back approach has set an example Chris is happy to follow. Having Jon by his side on this special day means a lot, and he wouldn't want it any other way.

Rachel is Sam’s oldest stepsister and, hands down, her go-to vegan and one of her most trusted people. Since day one, Rachel has brought a mix of heart, humor, and grounded energy to every family get-together. Whether it’s laughing together at a harvest festival, soaking in the beauty of the North Woods, or just spending time catching up, Rachel’s company always adds warmth and meaning. Sam feels incredibly lucky to have her as part of this moment—and even more lucky to call her family.

Dan is Sam’s brother-in-law and, without a doubt, Chris’s favorite vegan. From weekends up north in Presque Isle to intense rounds of Life on a Farm in Black River Falls, Dan is always up for a good time and great company. Whether they're sharing laughs, enjoying good food, or just relaxing together, Dan has truly become a close friend to Chris. His laid-back nature, loyalty, and the steady support he offers mean the world to Chris—he’s just thankful Dan’s vegan lifestyle doesn’t involve trying to convert him at every turn!

Sam first met Sara shortly after she started dating Chris, and they quickly formed a close friendship. From the beginning, Sara has been incredibly kind, supportive, and full of warmth. She's someone who listens with intention, shows up for the people she cares about, and always brings a sense of calm to any room. Beyond being a wonderful friend, she’s also an amazing mother to her son, Everette—something Sam has deeply admired. Sam feels lucky to have her in her life and even luckier to have her as part of the wedding day.

Chris met Shawn when he started working at Bell Ambulance, and what began as a work friendship quickly turned into something much more. They became unofficial full-time partners, navigating the often chaotic and downright ridiculous world of EMS in Milwaukee together. From intense calls to the wild stories they still laugh about today, Shawn has been there through it all. What started as a work bond grew into a lifelong friendship, and Chris is grateful to have him by his side, not just in the field, but for this special day as well.
