Technically, Maggie was Sam's friend first—they both grew up on St. Simon's Island, and Maggie is married to Sam's childhood best friend, MacKinnon. As soon as Sam introduced us, though, Maggie and I became best friends. She is the fiercest board game player I know and truly the most supportive friend you could ever ask for.

MacKinnon and I have been best friends since 2nd grade, where we bonded over a shared love of bikes and the outdoors. Which is… pretty much what we still talk about. MacKinnon can build just about anything you can imagine, and he is also an exceedingly kind and friendly guy.

Liz and I met during our freshman year at UGA, where we lived down the hall from each other. During our four years at UGA, we spent almost every weekend together. She is one of the funniest people I know, and she is always ready for a deep, intellectual conversation—one of my favorite things about her!

Trey and I became good friends in college, where we met through Caroline. But, it’s on the National Capital Region’s least competitive kickball team that Trey and I really bonded. He might be a chemist by day, but you’ve got to ask Trey about his killer dance moves.

Meghan and I were introduced by a mutual friend when I was living in Connecticut. A few months later, we ended up in medical school together! She was my first friend at MCG, and I'm so grateful that she's been by my side ever since. She gives the best advice, and her knack for sarcasm is unmatched.

I met Aditya nearly a decade ago through my friend and his now-wife Sachi. Aditya is kind, goofy, and bright. A newly minted attorney, he can passionately debate constitutional law one minute and local Mexican spots the next.

Samantha and I met early on in medical school and quickly became best friends. She is a sports aficionado and a proud dog mom to the sweetest pup. We have spent far too many hours together watching reality TV instead of studying, but it all worked out—she's a pediatrician now!

Stephan and I have been friends since we met as freshman at UGA. Stephan is one of the smartest guys I know, and when we were roommates, I think he spent more time in the lab than sleeping at our apartment. Stephan’s also always been an awesome friend and has a great, witty sense of humor.
