Glasgow will be the closest international airport to the castle! You can also fly into Edinburgh and take a train/bus to Glasgow.

ScotRail

ScotRail is great for hopping between cities and is probably the easiest form of public transport! If you do want to use the trains you can download the app into your phone to help you with navigation and buying tickets.

Bus

This is popular bus that leaves from Edinburgh and Glasgow airport and can take you to various parts of the country. It's recommended you buy your tickets ahead of time online if you need it but you can also buy them on the bus when it isn't busy.
