How We Met

09.18.2018

When we first met, we lived on completely opposite sides of Houston. Sam, a Milwaukee native, had moved to Houston for work five years previously and lived on the North side of town, and Amanda (a Houstonian by birth) lived on the South side. Thank God for the internet, otherwise we likely never would have crossed paths! After talking for a few weeks, we had plans to finally meet in person but Hurricane Harvey delayed us until September. When we finally met, it was an instant connection - we were obsessed with each other! We immediately bonded over our mutual love of music, cars, hot sauce, and pretty much everything in between. We have been inseparable ever since! We absolutely cannot wait to take this next step in our adventure together.

Engagement

10.05.2019

Sam secretly arranged for Amanda's parents, Granddad, and family friends to meet them in the sunflower field at Froberg's Farm in Alvin, TX. It was there that he asked her to marry him, in a field of sunflowers on a perfect sunny day, with her family watching!

Our Wedding Day

11.07.2020

We are so excited to gather with our friends and family to celebrate our love and the beginning of our married life together! Our venue, Still Waters Ranch, is a 16 acre paradise nestled in the rustic countryside of Alvin, TX. We will be married by Amanda's grandfather, Chuck Tylka, in an intimate ceremony inside the open air chapel. After the ceremony, guests will enjoy cocktails, appetizers, music, fellowship, and games in the outdoor gaming area. The real party kicks off at the reception immediately following cocktail hour with an open bar serving beer, wine, and liquor, a delicious BBQ dinner, dancing, a photobooth, a full-service coffee and tea bar and, of course, wedding cake! In all areas, the venue is full of wide open spaces to allow plenty of room for social distancing. Hand sanitizer will be provided in all areas. In light of the current pandemic, masks are strongly encouraged for use in the chapel and inside the reception, but are of course welcome to be removed while eating and drinking. We will have plenty of extra masks available should you need one. We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable while enjoying our day. For everyone's safety, we highly encourage using our complimentary shuttle service if you plan on indulging at the open bar. We can't wait to see y'all! Love, Sam & Amanda
