As most fairytales go, we first met at a pregame full of Bud Lights, drinking games, and $1 pizza. It was December 2015, and our dear friend Jack invited a group of people over to his apartment in the East Village. Sam was Jack’s coworker, and Kevin was his college baseball teammate. After some back-and-forth banter, competitive fires, and “chirps” (Sam’s peculiar way of flirting), a connection sparked. The following week, we went on our first date to the driving range at Chelsea Piers… not coincidentally the same Chelsea Piers where we will be getting married! By mid-2016, Sam moved from her Chelsea apartment to Kevin’s place in Brooklyn… and so began our journey. The following years were filled with travels around the globe, local restaurants, and more country concerts than financially responsible. Together, we’re always on the lookout for a new experience or a fun adventure, preferably those involving a beach, a bar, or a sport… or better yet, all three. In March 2020, our duo became a trio when we brought home our golden retriever Barkley (named after Saquon, naturally), who isn’t quite as athletic or competitive as we are but is objectively better looking. And, much like her parents, she has an insatiable appetite and is always up for a good time. In February 2021, after 5 years together, Kevin proposed on the rooftop of the William Vale hotel in Brooklyn. Sam said yes (you’re on our wedding website, after all), and now we can’t wait to tie the knot in front of all those we love in May 2022! Thank you for being a part of our journey so far. It’s been a blast, and the best is yet to come.
