Finally!

Our story began and is forever intertwined with the magic of Cape May birds and the beautiful community that is here. I was working in the Cape May area for several field seasons before I was introduced to Cape May birding. While Sam, on the other hand, had dreamed his whole life of moving to Cape May -- for the birds! In 2013, our journeys crossed paths through mutual friends. We both knew there was an instant connection, but we both were seeing other people. We were quick to become the best of friends, though -- even roommates for a short time! When we both found ourselves single, Sam pursued me for many months. I was being particularly stubborn (shocking) and turned him down several times even though deep down I always knew he was, "the one". I finally came to my senses and we started dating. Wildlife conservation and the environment is what has always bound us together - a mutual love, passion, and appreciation for all the wild things left in this world that continues to this day.
