Long story short? Online <3 We met at a time when logistics weren't in our favor and then reconnected several years later and decided to give it a real try this time around. After a little time being long distance, Sam moved from Nashville to Virginia. I guess it really is for lovers. ;)
On a beautiful Autumn day in the Pacific Northwest, I made the questionable decision to make Sam hike up the (savagely steep) Skyline Trail to Paradise Point on Mt. Rainier. After we made it and found it teeming with loud hikers of questionable covid status, I then made her climb even MORE mountain. Short of breath, low on water, and facing multiple reprimands from a park ranger, I finally found the perfect spot to pop the question in front of the most beautiful (and certainly now most memorable) view of our lives.
Wollam Gardens is a fresh cut flower farm located 60 miles west of Washington D.C., in the small town of Jeffersonton, Virginia. They grow a variety of unique perennials, annuals, trees, and shrubs on their 11 acres. This means the property is gorgeous, but no picking the flowers please! Instead, we hope you enjoy the natural beauty as much as we do. 5167 Jeffersonton Rd, Jeffersonton, VA 22724
