We are still unsure what everything will look like in June. We are hoping for the best and will keep everyone posted about distancing and mask guidelines. At this time (early April) we still have restrictions in the number of guests who are allowed in the Church for our ceremony. We are hoping this will change soon so that all of our loved ones can join us as we exchange vows. Stay tuned- we will post updates as soon as we have them.
Since we can't celebrate in Hawaii, we are trying to bring Hawaii to OC! Officially, Sam has been calling it "Tropical Elegant"...think tropical garden party along the Pacific Ocean. Ladies, wear bright hues and tropical prints. Gentlemen, linen shirts and dress slacks are the perfect combination, jackets optional. It can be cool in June, so plan appropriately.
2! Plan to arrive 15-20 min early to get a good seat.
We are having a full Catholic Nuptial mass ceremony to celebrate our marriage. Plan for about 1 hour, including mass. Programs will be provided for you.
Cocktail hour starts at 5:30, with light appetizers and hosted beer and wine. Dinner begins at 6:30, and dancing will continue through the night.
There will be about 2 hours of "free time" between the ceremony and reception. Feel free to stop by your hotel to freshen up in between events. If you are looking for something else, check out the "Things To Do" page for some suggestions to fill the gap in time.
There is a mixture of metered and non-metered parking around the American Legion. Meters are monitored until 6PM and free after that time.
We need to restrict the number of guests due to Covid guidelines set by the state, and while we hope that these restrictions will ease before June, we cannot be guaranteed that they will. Because of this, we have not included children on the invitations. We hope you understand and will still be able to join in our celebration for the night.
Transportation is not pre arranged for the ceremony or reception. We suggest using Uber or Lyft, especially if you are planning to enjoy yourself throughout the night. You can also leave your car behind at the American Legion if needed, but be aware that meters are monitored starting at 8AM.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RSVP by the date listed. If you are unsure whether you will be attending due to Covid, contact Sam privately to discuss more.
