Our wedding will be held at Waterstone Wedding and Event Venue, located at 45 Journey Pl, Johnson City, TN 37615. When you arrive at the venue, you’ll be greeted with clear signage to guide you throughout the property. Please follow the posted signs directing you toward the lake, where our ceremony will take place. Waterstone is a beautiful, spacious venue, so we recommend allowing a few extra minutes to park and make your way to the ceremony site. The walk to the lake is easy and well-marked, and there will be plenty of guidance along the way to ensure you get to the right spot without any stress. We can’t wait for you to experience this gorgeous setting with us and celebrate by the water.
Our ceremony will take place in the afternoon on a beautiful lakeside setting, completely outdoors. The cocktail hour and reception will also be held outside, so you’ll get to enjoy the scenery and fresh air throughout the entire celebration. Guests will walk to the ceremony area using paved pathways, making it easy to navigate most of the way. However, once you reach the seating area, there will be a short portion where you’ll step onto grass to find your seat. Because of this, we recommend choosing footwear that’s comfortable and outdoor-friendly. Stiletto or thin heels may sink into the grass and make walking a bit tricky, so block heels, wedges, flats, or dressy sandals are great options instead. We want everyone to feel comfortable, confident, and able to fully enjoy the day without worrying about their shoes—so plan accordingly and come ready to celebrate with us by the water.
Our dress code is formal / black-tie optional, so we encourage everyone to dress up and celebrate with us in style. For those who love a more elevated look, black-tie attire is absolutely welcome—think tuxedos, formal gowns, and classic evening wear. For others, formal attire such as suits, dress shirts, ties, cocktail dresses, or floor-length dresses are perfect choices as well. Since our celebration will be held outdoors by the lake, we recommend keeping both style and comfort in mind when choosing your outfit. Lightweight fabrics, breathable materials, and appropriate footwear will help you stay comfortable while still looking your best. We kindly ask that guests avoid wearing white or shades of brown, as these colors are reserved for our wedding party . Most importantly, we want you to feel confident, comfortable, and ready to celebrate this special day with us—so dress to impress and bring your best energy.
We are beyond excited to celebrate our special day with the people we love most. Because of limited space and venue guidelines, we are only able to accommodate guests who are formally invited. If you’ve been given a plus-one, it will be clearly listed on your invitation — so please be sure to check when making your plans. We’re keeping our celebration a little intimate, so plus-ones are only included when they’re specifically noted. We truly appreciate your understanding and are so excited to have you celebrating with us. While we absolutely adore your little ones, our wedding and reception will be an adults-only evening. We kindly ask that you keep our ceremony “unplugged” and refrain from taking any photos or videos during this time. We’ve chosen to have this moment be fully present and intimate, allowing everyone—including ourselves—to truly soak in every second without distractions. We promise we’ve got it covered with a professional photographer, so all the special moments will be beautifully captured for you to enjoy later. After the ceremony, you are more than welcome to take photos and capture memories throughout the rest of the celebration.
