Way back in high school, Sally and Miles sat next to each other once on the bus. They talked about the Barenaked Ladies concert from the night before. Sally immediately developed a crush on Miles, but was too shy to make a move. So two years after Miles went to college, she went to a different college and they didn't cross paths for almost a decade. But when they reconnected on an online dating app, she immediately remembered the cute, funny guy who was nice to her on the bus and who had great taste in Canadian pop rock. So Sally did what she should have done in high school and asked him out. When Miles asked where he could pick her up, it turned out they had been living down the street from each other in the same neighborhood this whole time. On their first date, they talked for hours about everything and nothing, mostly Pee-Wee's Playhouse. They felt an instant connection, the spark of something special. They were 16 again, and it didn't take long for them to fall in love.

Anyone who knows Sally knows that she LOVES Halloween. And when she decided her costume that year was going to be a "Bridezilla", Miles decided that Halloween would be the most opportune time to pop the question. Because she could barely breathe or see out of the giant Godzilla mask, Sally asked Miles for a little help snapping a couple pictures of her costume in the backyard before she could take the head off and be comfortable. After taking a few pictures, he suddenly stopped and said "Hey, I think your costume is missing something..." Sally didn't immediately get it, but then Miles got down on one knee, pulled out a ring from his pocket and asked "Sally, will you marry me?" She couldn't get that freakin' Godzilla mask off fast enough to kiss him and say "YES!".
