Question

Why Block 41?

Answer

Block 41 is located in the heart of Belltown. Belltown is a neighborhood in Seattle that is very dear to our hearts. This is the neighborhood we first moved to when we came to Seattle and lived in for 3 years. It is also the inspiration for our Golden Retriever's name, Belle! We are excited to share a piece of our Seattle history with you and be able to share some of our favorite eats, drinks, and places during your visit. Block 41/Belltown is also centrally located to many of Seattle's main attractions such as the Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Museum, Museum of Modern Pop (MOPOP), Pike Place Market & Seattle's Waterfront. Belltown is also close to many other neighborhoods if you want to explore during your visit. We highly encourage you to visit some of our other favorite neighborhoods such as Queen Anne, Ballard, Fremont, South Lake Union & Capital Hill!

Question

What is the weather like?

Answer

September in Seattle is truly Fall weather. Weather ranges in the low to mid 70s during the day, cooling off to mid 50s at night. End of September is on the cusp of rainy season, so we suggest to be prepared with at least a light rain coat or umbrella in case of the rain. It is always a good idea to pack in layers as it cools down at night, but you could be surprised with a warm, sunny day. Remember to pack good walking shoes for Seattle's hilly neighborhoods.

Question

Can I bring a guest/plus one not noted on my invitation?

Answer

We have addressed the invitations to the people we would love to come celebrate our special day. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Please ensure that you are RSVPing for yourself & your guest. Due to limited space and pre-determined budget, we cannot accommodate anyone who was not formally invited on your wedding invitation.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love all the little ones in our lives, however, we respectfully request that you leave your kids at home and you come without them on the wedding day. The only children attending will be those participating in the wedding.

Question

Is there a dress code? Are there any colors I should avoid wearing?

Answer

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! We are requesting a semi-formal/cocktail dress code for our evening. This would include long dresses, cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits or maxi dresses, tuxedos, suits & tie, or jackets and slacks. We encourage guests to dress in the color theme of our wedding: Black, Gold & jewel tones. Our bridesmaids will be in Emerald Green. Please do not wear colors typically reserved for the bride (white, cream, ivory, etc.)

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive around 5pm so we can ensure a prompt start of the ceremony at 5:30pm.

Question

Is there parking nearby? What is the best way to arrive to the venue?

Answer

Transportation from the Hampton Inn & Suites to and from the the venue will be provided. Buses pick up at the hotel for the ceremony at 4:45pm. If you are not taking the shuttle bus, there is hourly paid parking and a few all day lots near the venue. However, we have suggested hotels close enough to the venue that we encourage you to walk or to take a ride share as parking is limited in the Belltown neighborhood, and to keep you all safe since we plan to PARTY HARD!

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This just means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. We have hired professionals to take photos and videos and do not want to disturb their work capturing this very important moment in our lives. We would hate to have a well-meaning persons' phone/device disrupting those moments. After the ceremony, you are free to capture as many photos or videos throughout the rest of the night. Once we receive our ceremony photos back, we will share them with all of you promptly!

Question

Is there a room block?

Answer

Yes! Please check the Travel Tab for room block & transportation information to and from the airport.

Question

Is there a registry?

Answer

Thank you very much for being so generous! If giving a gift is something you desire, there is a link to our registry. We also would appreciate a cash gift to help us save for home improvements & our honeymoon!
