Train
Transit in Vancouver is a little confusing sometimes, but here's a quick rundown: To pay for transit, you can either buy a compass pass at a skytrain station (with cash or card) to pay for the skytrain or bus, or pay with cash for the bus, or use your credit card directly (as long as the machine works, doesn't always). The cost of your fare in Vancouver is dependent on how many 'zones' you are going through. For example, most of Vancouver is 1 zone, but if you're going from Richmond to Vancouver (or the other way) then you're going through 2 zones, so it costs more. There's more information (and a simple map) on the website linked here. There is one main skytrain line you need to know about: the Canada line. The Canada line runs from Richmond (the airport & near our venue!) to downtown Vancouver. Aberdeen Station is around a 10 minute walk from our venue. Waterfront Station is right in the middle of Downtown Vancouver, right near Gastown. That's the basics, there's lots of information about routes & more on the website linked here.
